I wasn't talking about the sliver medalist who has only 1 clay slam and is 6-10 and 4-10 in slams against his 2 biggest rivals... I was talking about the gold medalist who has at least 2 slams on each surfaces and is 10-4 and 9-6 in slams against his 2 biggest rivals :smooch:

ZZZZZZzzzzzzzz. At least 2 slams but 12 at one slam. A bit top heavy like Dolly Parton but, look, I'm not gonna derail this thread despite your attempts.

Don't worry front goat Nadal coached Federer to victory. By the way, more dumb post by you would be good like the( two finals you try to take away from Medvedev:D

Seriously ?:cuckoo::facepalm: You were trying to tell everyone here he should have done better than he did and I pointed out he lost in 1 of those to Kyrgios and 2 to Nadal. You're still going on about it now?! Those are respectable losses and I don't know too many up and coming players who beat Nadal in their first masters final and slam final. Do you?

Bro you said Medvedev lost 3 finals then he's clearly ( lost 5 finals)which is wrong and dumb that's that I'm talking then I say bad post like I said in my last post if you read it. Let me help I will tell you again Medvedev finals lost- (two Nadal)( N.kyrgios) (D.thiem Barcelona) K.nishikori Brisbane) that's five lost. Finals win 3, 3-5 now he just won a title but before it was 2-5 which was really bad and still is. but don't care about your opinion or anyone else just like putting out how dumb you are. Do you even watch Medvedev play before Wimbledon.

.

Yes, genius and it'd be 5-5 if he beat Kyrgios and Nadal in the 2 matches he played but he didn't because they're both top ranked players and there's no shame losing to them. What the hell is wrong with you? The guy already has 5 titles btw...make that 6 from today.

I I'm Medvedev fan and will lay off him now that he won today, I was just making fun of you for not getting your facts right, should you just be happy Federer being playing better than us open because of nadal coaching.

Some fan when you keep slagging him. Anyway, I'm not answering another single post about Medvedev in this thread cos it has nothing to do with Laver Cup. Btw, the guy made his 5th consecutive final. Really justifies slagging him. And he won.

I'm glad some of those posts from the LC thread were moved here. @Front242, the reason I mentioned Roger's back was as a gentle reminder that more than a few Fed fans have questioned Rafa's injuries over the years, in part because he then (sometimes) seems to recover quickly. There was also a certain amount of back-and-forth between Fed fans and Novak fans during the USO, with some claiming that ND only retired because he was losing, while Roger lost because he was genuinely injured, even though he played the whole match. I really don't have a problem believing that Roger was suffering with his back during at least some of that Dimitrov match. And that with rest and the excellent care that he surely receives, was ready to play all of the tennis that he played this weekend. I also believe that top athletes play with a certain amount of pain, and that, particularly the ones with more frequent injuries, are wont to be cautious if they feel like something is amiss during a match. Some folks around here could do well to take things a bit more at face value, rather than assigning dastardly motives to players they don't like, while feeling perfectly assured that they favorite is only ever well-intended/genuinely ailing.

Look, the one time I can clearly say it was evident Nadal was injured was from 0-2 down in set 2 of the AO 2014 till the end of the match with back pain. I doubt, however, much like Federer after this year's USO setback, he was in a Zimmer frame afterwards. Few days of painkillers to stop inflammation and rest is all. People often wake up with a sore back and it's fine a few days later. We're likely talking muscular strain or stiffness and not a slipped disc or something way more severe.

LOL at thanking Nadal for getting Federer back into form. It's down to presumably no back pain and having proper fluid movement.

 I think Federer knows how to win a tennis match at this stage and without Nadal's help.

I agree. Despite clear evidence that Nadal coached him obviously Fed can win on his own.

Too bad that logic doesn’t apply to Nadal who’s won almost just as much as Federer without any evidence of coaching yet you and others act like otherwise.

Guys, Federer is just a tennis champion. :)

However Nadal is a tennis champion, tennis academy owner, has a tennis stadium named after him, also a tournament named after him and now he is also a coach.:yesyes::dance2::dance3:

All this idiocy about Nadal "coaching". Are you all for real? What he told him was a statement and not coaching and something he damn well knows already cos it's based 100% on how Federer already plays. "You're winning the shorter rallies under 5 shots". Well, wow, give the man a cookie.

Federer has been playing first strike tennis for years now and I think he pretty much knows if he hits a serve that isn't an ace there's a good chance the next shot is an easy put away. Do people really think Roger needs to be told not to rally if he can avoid it ?! The Nadal camp have hit a new low. Very low

If Nadal had a talk with Federer during this year’s Wimbledon final, Federer would have won it. Federer is a great player in terms of technique but in terms of brains and understanding of the game Nadal is at a whole other level.

If you say so lol. Millions would disagree. On that note, how did Nadal the great almost brain fart away the match against Medvedev at the USO?! As they say, get out of that without farting.

Nadalfan2013 is right bro if Nadal was coaching Federer in Wimbledon final he would have won because Nadal has a tennis genius mind, he would clamed Federer down to play the right shot at the right time. Also million of people would a agree, just happy for Nadal he's going to become the greatest coach of all time then he's career ends in 7 years.
