I don't understand. The surface was ok then, when Rafa was winning and making finals, but "garbage" now with Roger back to winning on it? When did the surface become "garbage," according to you.

It was garbage after the change in 2002

Yes it was the darkest day in Wimbledon history.
Only for Federer's fanatics but not for the rest of the world. Today ESPN and TC are talking a lot about that match :pompoms::dance3::good::yahoo:

Yes it's a great day for his cheerleaders.

It was a great day for the real good Tennis followers (of course you are not included)
Yes, I'm from Spain but even I would be from another country my favorite player is Nadal and second place is Murray...something to discuss about it?

Nothing to discuss about it, everyone cheers for their countryman. Patriotism is a great virtue. Congrats and enjoy your past glory.

The real good tennis followers are Federer fans, not a bunch of girls drooling over Rafa's muscles and/or Sampras fans latching onto anyone who was a threat to Federer.

Common Darth, you're smart enough to understand there exists such thing as "political correctness" and its importance in some situations. I understand your hatred towards Nad fans (that's fine, we can disagree and move on) however watch out that you do not segregate them into groups and imply (even unconsciously) that one of the group is inferior to another. Some people may call such activity very bad. In particular why do you segregate Nad fans according to sex and direct your hatred towards one sex only? We know there are Nad fans herein, who are also men. Are those free from your critique? I know you didn't mean it but someone like me, whose English is his fourth language, might easily misread your intentions. If you follow the rules of political correctness and do not segregate people when you do not have to (or if you do segregate, give a valid reason for segregation) then you avoid all trouble. Trust me, I'm the one who made the same mistake (and Moxie happened to correct me!) so I mean all the best also to you.

If it came down to only serve then why don't Karlovic, Isner, Raonic and Kyrgios, for example, have 20 slams even between them? Think everyone and their dog knows that doesn't make much sense. It's mostly Federer's aggressive play that is making him still able to win big titles at this age.
Trying to point out logic and reason is a waste of time here with Carol. I made that mistake myself today. Lol

Of course I am exaggerating as there are many pure Nadal fans but he does have a lot of female fans that took to him because of his looks especially when he broke onto the scene. There are also a lot of his "fans" that simply rooted for him because they hate Federer and didn't want him to break Sampras' records. This and prior forums were swimming with those. Despite all that Roger is the most popular player in the game by far and has more "natural" fans of his tennis. To each their own but I still find it amazing people can actually enjoy Nadal's tennis.

Your opinion of Nadal fans has always been incorrect, as there are likely way more that just like him and his tennis than there have been drooling women or opportunistic Sampras fans, but, by now, it's REALLY out of date. That's really a 2005-07 version. I don't think we've had a disgruntled Sampras fan around any sites in ages. Anyway, Nadal will win today and keep the #1, just to piss you off, Darth. Because that's the kind of vindictive, poor sport he is. B-)

It's not a waste of time trying to point out logic and reason here with you and some of the Federer's fans? yes, and very badly. When I SAID that his serve yesterday was impressive but anything else is because I watched the match, Struff played very poorly so your Roger didn't have to do too much effort, only with his brilliant serve was enough and very easy to do point after point. Now tell me that his rival played very well and you are going to make me laugh for all day

Nicky was 19 when he beat Nads here
Yeah, with his 37 aces, playing one of his best matches of his live which never ever could do it again and he won't and Rafa playing pretty bad

That wasn't one of the best matches of his life, and he also trashed Nadal in Cincy last year. It doesn't take a great match on grass to beat Nadal.

You are completely wrong, the REAL tennis followers like the good competition, exciting matches, personality (I don't want to tell you what things I hear about Roger and his "true" personality, you will be very offended) some people like more Federer, others Nadal, or Novak or Murray but the big difference is that the Roger's fans makes too much noise because their incredible fanatism and ridiculous cult, I've never seen something like that, those horrible wishes to his rival, it's out of normal
But all those things are not going to change the past neither the future, whatever happens is in their game and not our wishes, tt make me to smile guys

The Sampras fans/Roger haters that latched on have stayed the course and now it's all they know. AP, Kieran, Graf Sampras fan, etc. They'd have rooted for anyone.

He trashed Federer in Madrid too, so what is your point?
