Has anyone watched the show Fauda on Netflix? It's basically an Israeli version of Homeland mixed with 24. Second season just dropped last week, two episodes into that and it's very good. First season was very good as well.

In Britain we have a show which is on once a season between 8 & 9 from Mon-Fri 1 week each season called Spring/Summer/Autumn or Winter Watch depending on the season. It's like a reality T.V. show where they show live footage of animals in the wild & talk about them. They go to all different parts of the country, 4 different places each time. I always watch it when it's on if I have access to the remote control or Dad wants to watch it too or decides to be nice to us. It's very interesting. I learnt something very important today, how to tell the difference between a grass snake & an adder (in case you don't know, the adder is the only venomous snake indigenous to Britain). Is there a version of this where you live? If so, do you watch it & like it?

Hi Ann, thanks for your reply. Of those sitcoms you mentioned I have boxes of dvds for 3: Only fools and horses, Open all hours and Poridge. I like the first two, while Poridge I find hard to understand; would helped if they had it subtitled, I guess. I haven't watched the other shows you mentioned, so I'll have a look at them. I like many other British sitcoms, like Men behaving badly, My family, IT crowd, Allo allo, Citizen Smith, pretty much anything without John Cleese and Ricky Gervais

Only Fools and Horses... that's one of my all time favourites of any TV Show. The writing was genius. I wouldn't have thought it translated so well outside the UK though - there is loads of slang and it's so British.

I watched it with subtitles in Serbian back in 80s but I don't remember how they translated it. For some reason I understand that bbc sort of cockney they speak.

We had to learn some Cockney rhyming slang in High School. I can still remember some of it. If you're stuck you can always ask me & I'll try to help you. :0)

In the meantime I watched 2 British sitcoms with one of my favourite actors, Robert Lindsay. First one I watched was called Spy and it is crap despite all the awards it got. The second one however, Nightingales, is something really special. it is different than anything else I watched on tv before, the acting is beyond great and it is often hilarious. You can buy complete series of 2 seasons on new DVD for around 12 quid delivered (UK eBay).

Seriously recommend Fauda. Excellent show. Very good 1st season but this 2nd was quite a bit better IMO.

I started watching The Ranch on Netflix. A comedy with a couple of the guys from That 70's show (Kutcher and Scientology scum Danny Masterson). Through 4 episodes of the first season but it's really good. Unfortunately it does have the Masterson but he is funny in it

I've been watching Wild Britain with Ray Mears recently. I don't like his survival programmes because I'm too squeamish to watch him skinning a hare & stuff like that but his programmes about wildlife in Britain are very good & interesting. Last week he was in the Hielan's of Caledonia (oops! Sorry. I mean the Highlands of Scotland) & showed us the only bird in the world that changes colour depending on the weather & is only found in the Highlands of Scotland which is the capercaillie. This week he went all around the coast & gulls were the main feature though he went inland & showed us badgers.

I did well today. I managed to watch Wild Britain, a repeat of Are you being served? & a repeat of Last of the Summer Wine.

I did quite well both yesterday & today for getting to watch some T.V. Yesterday I managed to watch 'Allo 'Allo, Are you being served? & Last of the Summer Wine. Today I managed to watch a fascinating programme about Welsh castles & their history including 1 I've seen at Conwy.

Ozark was pretty good on Netflix. Nobody seems to have mentioned it? Any takers?

Season 2 is coming out later this month.

Mr & Mrs Britbox have a lot of different tastes and shows but a few overlap and this is one of them.

Saw the first episode of season 1 last week and enjoyed it. We will be watching the rest soon, getting through Jack Ryan now

Anybody see the first two seasons of FX’s “ Legion” ?

I loved the first one despite its flaws because it was a no holds barred orgy of surreal visual craziness tagged onto a Marvel character. Since the character is suppose to be mentally unstable when introduced it made sense that the scenes were such a hallucinogenic trip.

Unfortunately for me they decided to up the ante for the second season and make it even more trippier and a visual head case. Too too much.

They lost me completely and I’m someone who can tolerate In my sci-fi or superhero shows but so many of the episodes seemed like cotton candy filler.

Next on the list.

Only ended up being 8 episodes but it appears they already filmed a second season. It was excellent, amongst other things I liked that it provided a fairly balanced view of things.

I watched "Maniac" and really loved it. You have to hang in through the first couple of episodes.

I've been watching a lot of t.v. recently since I've had to ration my reading time & rest my eyes a bit. I've been watching programmes about survival, history of trains & Scotland & antiques as well as last of the Summer wine. I saw my favourite train (the flying Scotsman). I enjoyed it until Dad started arguing with me all the time. My parents were discussing programmes but when I joined in everyone was arguing with me. Roll on the 16th when I can go back to normal.
