Am still watching True Detective. It's still a great mystery...as to what they're saying. Mumbled twangy slurred words. McConnaughey is the chief villain in this regard. He's entered the school of acting that requires you to cause the audience to lean in. It's the opposite of overly-mannered, histrionic acting. This is still mannered, but it's all about being subdued and moody. It works quite well. Woody is top-drawer too. I've gotten it into my head that Woody could become this generations Dennis Hopper, if he got the right roles...

I finished the 2nd season of House of Cards. I really liked the 1st season but I think the 2nd one blows it away. It's like the 1st season of the show on Speed. Spacey and Robin Wright are just phenomenal. They are naturally so twisted yet brilliant that it almost makes you wonder how much of it is an act ;)

13 days away from GOT!!!

Okay, in televisionland, True Detective is must-see.

Must!

See!

Just finished it and I dunno if I'll sleep. Who cares about tennis? This was creepy and weird. This was indescribable. It's been a while now that TV is getting better than movies: this is why. Must see. Won't sleep... :nono

Started watching Banshee a few days ago and I find it wildly entertaining. It is quite dark and probably not everyone's cup of tea though.

Amazing show. Kept its tension and brilliance til the very last frame. I think it's set a new benchmark for cop shows, if it was even a cop show, it seems much larger than that, actually...

The two detectives, Cole (Matthew and Marty (Woody) are classic Anti Heroes which makes the show so compelling.

Definitely wasn't me AP. I am going to go back and watch that show because I didn't think too highly of it at first but that might be due to watching it late at night.

I think you might be giving away what happened last night on GOT in a way. I unfortunately read some major spoilers on this season (I was too weak waiting for eternity for the new season), I will just say that this is probably going to be the best/most crazy season yet.

A-P, with respect, I would edit your above post re: Game of Thrones as it kinda gives away what happens, and might spoil it for those who haven't watched the episode yet.

With that said:

HOLY $HIT! What a show. I really didn't see that coming.

I edited my post(if more is needed let me know because its not my style to be the spoiler) but really this spoiler was one of the biggest on the internet since JR got shot(Al Gore hadn't invented the web at that time:snigger)

Yeah the whole internet is a spoiler for GOT. You could go to a website on knitting and they will probably have spoilers for that week's episode. That's one of the reasons I will always watch it live.

Nah your post is fine the way it is now. This was one of the best GOT episodes yet, which is saying a lot. Even before the you know what, it was a pretty good episode. The opening scene was actually very strong. But of course, nobody is going to remember that after what happened at the end of the episode. This show is something else...

I tried to watch Banshee but I couldnt gain an attachemnt to any of the characters.. (I really didnt care about what happened to them). However, there are some extra hot chicks and some heavy sex scenes which is pretty frustrating when you are on the road away from your wife:blush:

That spoiler for GoT is all over the news sites. I don't even watch the show and I saw it without clicking on a link. It was a headline.

Going to watch Mad Men from the beginning to get ready for it's end.

You watched the first ep of the final season, Tented, I'll be up to you soon!

That would be a really good way to watch it. Since there's only one series/season left, perhaps you should wait and do all seven together ...
