I am not much the singer. My Mom had me in Ballet and all other forms of dance at a very young age so I learned how to dance at a young age. I also like most styles of music with the exception of Rap.
I've always had a nice voice. We used to have sing-songs at Gran's & at my Uncle's & Aunts. I only ever had time to sing & read & later on play with the dog, learn to play tennis & football, go to museums & art galleries, sew, paint & do home-work. I always passed voice test at school so only ever sung in music except in High School when I learnt song-writing. I had to join the choir too.

I would say my voice is average at best. I did learn the piano as that was also lessons my parents sent me to. I also played tennis, soccer, and softball as well. Tennis just so happened to be the sport that I picked up the best.

I played squash & racquetball. Tennis was the sport I was best at too. In my case, I suffer from slight bronchitis so can't run. In tennis I learnt how to do the side-skip some female tennis players do so didn't have to run that much. I was also ace at serving. I wasn't that good at returning though. Other than that I only liked doing long-jump, aerobics & the health & fitness module in P.E. Actually the health & fitness module was the 1 I was best at. It focussed on the science bits to start with so I forgot I was doing P.E. & did really well until I got to the physical bits. I must have forgot myself & thought I was doing science. (P.E. was my least favourite subject & I was atrocious at it most of the time.)

Anyway, to keep this thread on track I've found an appropriate song.

I was going to add a Cliff Richard singing during rain break before they got the roof at Wimbledon clip but it was mis-labelled & I couldn't find 1. I remember that match well & I had a good sing-along.

I was quite the opposite on the tennis court using my speed to my advantage and strong baseline play. My serve is average at best, but I get by with it. I would say my game resembles Kim Clijsters. In school I also was into Science which I guess is why I pursued become a Physical Therapist.

This has to be one of the most recognizable Swing tunes around and performed by the legendary Glenn Miller.

My favourite subjects at school were French, history & drama. I liked all subjects except art, geography & P.E. though. Saying that I liked painting, pottery & using charcoal & pastel in art & the sports I mentioned before. Your job sounds interesting. I worked in admin, retail & libraries until I got my new job a month or so in heritage preservation. I love it. It's fun & fascinating although some parts of it can be rather full-on. I get lots of variety.

Thank you very much. I love it. I like quite a few of his songs.

One of my favorites. Harmonies of these two are amazing and great guitar work. (Live version)

I agree & guess you'll like this 1 too then.

I do like that. You know I am not really that old, but I guess I am old fashion because there are no female singers today like Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, and even Ariana Grande who I do think has a good voice that can sing at that level. The songs also now most of them are in my opinion are not very good, especially Rap.

I'm not that old either. My family used to have a sing-song around the table every week & I got taught loads of old songs though. They also used to play old songs so I got used to them. The schools I went to taught me old songs too. (I also go to a lot of 1940's days & join in sing-alongs.) I agree though I'd say you're over-looking Celine Dion. Mind you, she has taken a long break from singing like Cher & Dolly Parton has. Saying that, Cher was in Mamma Mia 2. As Boyzone have done their farewell tour & album & Meatloaf & Rod Stewart are only doing tours & Cliff Richard hasn't sung for a long time now I'd agree that new music isn't very good especially as Kylie modernised her music. I'm old-fashioned when I come to music too.

This is 1 of the songs I had to learn as a girl.

I think he's a brilliant singer & yodeller. Not many people could yodel like him. It is hard to yodel though. I can't yodel.

Celine Dion to me is more old school and a brilliant singer. Really the last singer that I can think of on the female side is Alicia Keys, Adele, and Christina Aguilera who's voices are amazing. Now Ariana Grande and even Miley Cyrus in my opinion have amazing voices, but I don't think they don't showcase their voices correctly. Now this is coming from me who has nothing more than an average voice.

I like this song of Christina Aguilera's.

I agree with you about Miley Cyrus & prefer her Dad's song.

I like that 1 too.

He is good. This was my favourite male singer though.

My favourite living male singer has to be Meatloaf.
