That song reminds me mainly of a Liverpool/Man United match in 1992. United and Leeds were fighting for the title. United had to win to stay in the race (a race they were clear favourites to win only a few weeks earlier). Liverpool won 2-0 with Mark Walters sealing United's fate in the last few minutes... bear in mind United at the time hadn't won the league for 26 years... the whole stadium erupted singing that song.

Liverpool score around 1:30 and the singing begins shortly after.

It's amazing how music reminds us of mile-stones & events in our lives. It cheers me up. I remember Dad singing it to cheer everyone up & to try to teach me to whistle. It's good to start a sing-song. The only experience I've got of big events starting sing-songs & everyone joining in is going to Edinburgh Tattoo & seeing it live from the esplanade (I've been twice). Everyone stands up & starts singing when the national anthem is sung but they also link hands & wave them up & down (like you do) while singing "Auld Lang Syne" & they also sing Scotland's old & new unofficial national anthems. Thank you very much for sharing.

I wonder if anyone can help me. I think my question belongs here though I'm not sharing a song at this moment in time. Remember when records were in fashion before C.D.'s came out? We had 78's which were made of pot & could be played on gramophones by people who still had them. We had L.P.'s which stood for long-playing records which normally were played at 33 rpm & we had singles which were played at 45 r.p.m. I've come across some E.P.'s. Does anyone know what E.P. stands for, please?
