Thanks for posting djmm, but I do believe those are the same song by the same guy. I think it is DeVaughn and that he was channeling the great Curtis Mayfield. Either way, it is a beautiful piece of music.

If you got it off of YouTube, there is a lot of talk about how someone posted the song as being a Curtis song, but I never had the LP back in the Seventies so I can't say for sure. There are some folks I know who tell me they had the record and--for sure--DeVaughn sang it, but I could be wrong.

LORD knows that is some precious music for the world. Everyone here should listen to this and the Sketches of Spain record in their entirety. It is some of the best music of the 20th century.
