Time for another Living Legend, Mister Stevie Wonder.
This is another of my uploads as I was trying to give the audio more Hi-Fi boost. "I Don't Know Why I Love You" was the 1969 A-side of the single with "My Cherie Amor" but the DJ's in the US favoured the B-side more and so that became Stevie's next major hit record. But "I Don't Know Why I Love You" is a real gem.

@Robert Zimmerman - so do you download the video and then play around with the settings / re-mastering before uploading? What are you using? Adobe Premiere?
Thanks britbox.

Yeah basically.

Well I used to have internetdownloadmanager for a number of years when I had XP.
Now with Windows 10, I recently tried out the one month trial version which was cool.

I use the firefox downloadhelper add-on but that is very limited and will not download all of the videos on YouTube, particluarly mkv files. Wonder if there is a free program that does mkv files available, does anyone know ?

Audio wise , the audacity software is a God Send. There is also Nero Wave Editor which is nearly as good.
Both are freebees.

Well it's my understanding that mkv files was introduced by google/youtube to stop certain copyrighted videos being downloaded because of legal action and complaints by various record companies. Ho Hum...

Anything that you see on the Beatlesvevo ( the official Beatles YT channel) are mkv files that cannot be downloaded (at least not with downloadhelper). Which one you use ?

Hey everyone. I got a new vid uploaded on YouTube. This time it is a Beatles Quiz by Various Artists, a range and cross section of nearly 50 years. Can you guess the names of the artists and bands as well as the songs featured ? Two of the tunes were instrumentals.

1.
2.Day Tripper
3.
4. Come Together - Joe Cocker
5. Something -
6. Maxwell's Silver Hammer
7.
8. Here Comes the Sun
9.
10.
11.
12. Neil Diamond - Carry that Weight (This is the last one? #13?)
13.
This is a work in progress

^ Point me in the direction of an mkv file on Youtube and I'll see what I can find.
Good on you britbox. Never heard of the program you talked about but it is working. Am now this minute downloading 'Hey Jude' as a MP4 (always my preferred format). in HD.

That's very good Moxie. I am going to give number 1 away because it is an obscure instrumental that the Fab Four recorded the year before they achieved their breakthrough with 'Love Me Do'.

The instrumental tune is 'Cry for a Shadow' recorded by the Smithereens on their Beatles covers album.

I have not been able to find the recent Beatles1 new blu-ray or dvd product in any of the stores here in my hometown of Adelaide. Think I will need to travel to town and look out for it in a import shop.

Believe it or not, not all Beatles fans are happy with this as it's missing a lot of significant stuff. Check out this guys review -

Hi britbox.

No it's a instrumental called 'Cry for a Shadow' by an outfit called the Smithereens (which I posted before). They had recorded an whole album of Beatles songs including this gem. Got them down pat B-)

The Beatles waxed"Cry for a Shadow" when living in Germany , June 1961, almost a year before they became big. This is the Beatles original (and I have to agree it does sound like a Shadows tune) -

Another Music Legend Gone too soon.

While I was never a big fan of his (other than 'Paisley Park', 'Cream', 'When Doves Cry') but I was very sorry to hear of the passing of Prince today at 57.

One quotation from him from a 2004 interview he did with the US Washington Post:

“Times were different back then,” Prince explained. “I wouldn’t stand out today if I was brand-new and came like that. But see, back then nobody else was doing that, and I knew that would get me over. I didn’t dress like anybody, I didn’t look like anybody, I didn’t sound like anybody. We still try to do that. Why do what everybody else is doing?

“Bowie and Madonna, even if it wasn’t good, we still talk about it because it was something new. That’s a beautiful word.”
