This is the opening of 'Tickle Me'. Probably the best opening to any EP movie with the Nevada scenery but the film itself was forgettable.

Good on you mate. Did you have a look at thebeatlesbible and keith flynn elvis pages website links i posted here last week ? Just found some unusual Bee Gees tracks singing the Beatles songs (must've been lifted from a boot). "Ticket to Ride" is the best.

Ticket to Ride is one of my top favourite Beatles tunes for sure.

At a recent U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, [Bono] asked the audience for total quiet.

Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands, once every few seconds. Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone, “Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies.”

From the front of the crowd a voice with a broad Scottish accent pierced the quiet …

“Well, fuckin stop doin it then, ya evil bastard!”

Here you go britbox. An outtake (done more like a blues tune) of "I'm Left Your Right She's Gone". There's lots to choose from LOL

Living legend indeed. Fats is the man. My old man had a bunch of his stuff... didn't know he collaborated with the Beatles. Thanks for the post.
I love the song Fats did in the bare knuckles Clint Eastwood movie. I forget the name. 'Any which way but loose?' maybe...

It's 50 Years since the Beach Boys recorded and released 'Pet Sounds' one of the greatest ever records and the benchmark on creativity. This is a instrumental take of 'Here Today'. Sounds brilliant to my ears.

LOL the next quiz is going to be based on instrumentals with gems just like this, real authentic ones, no karaokes. stay tuned....

Hey folks,

There's something quite odd about this video. At 3:16 Lennon screams out "Alriiiight" yet he is nowhere near the microphone and has his mouth shut.

But according to Lindsay-Hogg, he says that John and Paul and George were really singing live to the backing track. What do you guys make of this ?

We were discussing at work today, some songs you can't get out of your head for a few hours if people play them.... you end up whistling the tune, humming etc.. for hours.

This was one...

Hey Folks,

First of all Happy Easter to all the members here.
I have a new vid on YouTube. "Minutes to Midnight" - a 1977 record by the late Jon English which I noticed was not even on there. I have put together a slideshow for this based on nighttime imagery (but no cheeky stuff, which would not be appropriate less than a month after his untimely death). Hope you guys and Ladies like the tune (and the vid) -

Thanks for checking out the vid. Someone wrote on the comments that he would have been 67 today.
Well he was stage and screen performer first playing the role of Judas in the Oz theatre version of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' and became fairly big around 1975-1981 with his gravel voice (bit like Rod Stewart) and a number of hit tunes. The records became sporadic by the mid 1980s, but English would become big again on the tv series comedy 'All Together Now' playing the role of a fading Rock star. You seen that show?

Speaking of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' how about these two as a comparison ? Marcia Hines was in the Aussie cast. Hard to say which one is the better rendition as BOTH ARE AWESOME.

Time for a new quiz. This one is on instrumentals (all authentic) of various era's and includes two television themes.
Can you identify their titles and the artists and groups who recorded these (not essential but it would be great if you could) ?
