I hate it when your spectacles start rubbing your nose & the side of your head & make it sore & you need to wear them all the time so you can see properly. Is it just me or do other spectacle wearers experience this?

You need to buy a pair with good fit. I wear specs all the time and so do lots of other people too. It is not a problem for most. But, I can understand what you are saying. It happens when it is a bad fit.

They fit me for so long. I had an ear infection as a girl which left me with a lump behind my ears which puts the specs out of shape after a while. I'm also allergic to certain things. Thank you very much. I'll have to wait until 1 week or 2 after my next eye test to get sorted out then. It's a good job I'm on yearly recall instead of being sent for every 2 years. I know how wide-spread spec use is.

I hate it when you see some slippers you really want & need but the manufacturers don't make them for ladies with big feet so you have to buy different ones then your new baby guinea pig decides that he doesn't only want to lay on your feet but chew the bows of your slippers too. (I actually thought it was cute that he wanted to lay on my feet though. Bless him!).

I hate the fact that although I'm extremely grandiloquent & articulate I can often be misunderstood especially when I get flustered about something. (I guess someone is going to say sometimes it's because I use words such as grandiloquent.)
I hate being seen as manipulative when I'm just loquacious.
I hate people misunderstanding my intentions or saying I'm intending to do something when I'm not.
I hate never being able to be myself. If I'm myself I sometimes get accused of showing off so I act daft & that annoys people too. People say they want me to be myself but when I am they complain. (Aww! What's the point in people-pleasing? It's exhausting & it doesn't work so I should just say stuff them & some people would say I'm being euphemistic here as I've used stuff instead of a certain 4 letter swear-word beginning with f. People can take me for who I am or not at all. I am who I am. If I don't like who I am I can try to change some things about myself but it should be my choice what changes I make, nobody else's.)
I hate people being in their critical parent ego state all or most of the time.

I hate it when the gas-men have had to dig your roads up for so long disturbing where you go to catch your bus then they have to cut your gas off to put you a gas-pipe in but find that your gas-pipe goes where they've just been digging so have to dig the road up another day & cut your gas off again before re-connecting your gas-pipe & then your garden is an excavation site until they decide to fill it in again.

I hate it when people think that because I've got good communication skills & a lot to say for myself as well as a reason & answer for everything most of the time that I don't sometimes get lost for words, flustered or foot in mouth syndrome & then they take me the wrong way. Being fair, though, I know that although I'm extremely articulate I can be very hard to understand.

I also hate it when people think that because I'm rather verbose that I'm an attention-seeker. I'm not.

In order to find out who is an attention seeker, one must get to know the individuals in question a little bit to understand their intentions and do not judge them solely by their words. Those who give someone an attention seeker label based on their words only, simply jump to early conclusions. Early conclusions without evidence are likely to be subjective & wrong.
I have the disputants who exhibit logical fallacies while talking to me, especially if they stubbornly keep their fallacious arguments when pointed out to their mistake; they even deny the fallacy because they don't want to "give up" their argument. You cannot learn anything from a discussion with such people and you must eventually give up. Jumping to conclusions without sufficient evidence is one of such logical fallacies.

I know. I make it a rule never to judge people because you never know what they're going through or what they've been through therefore you never know why people are the way they are & why they do what they do. There are too many taboo subjects though.

I always listen to others & see where they could be right or whether I still think I'm right or whether we're both right before arguing the toss & I don't mind admitting I'm wrong, apologising & explaining as well as learning from my mistakes though I might find it awkward & get flustered trying to find the right words to say so I don't upset anyone & still manage to do what I intended.

I hate when you're reading a book & you've just read the introduction & foreword & it tells you how to read the book as if you didn't know anyway. How patronising! If you didn't know how to read a book you wouldn't be reading it in the 1st place. I know there are many ways to read a book (if you include critical reading & skim-reading etc. as well as just normal reading & purposeful reading of course *then if you're reading a book in a language other than your mother tongue you've got the choice whether to read it in it's own language then translate it into your own or translate it as you're going along*) & the true purpose of reading is to weigh things up & consider them but think being told how to read a book is ridiculous especially when you already know how to read a book or else you wouldn't be reading the book in the 1st place. Then you get told to read chapters 2 & 5 1st (in that case why didn't the author make chapter 2 into chapter 1 & chapter 5 into chapter 2 which would make more sense than having a how to read section) *in some books I've got you get told to read pages 1,2,4,5,6,7,9,10,11 & 12 first then read the book from beginning to end* which goes against what I always got taught which was books are structured in the way they are so you read them the right way which is chapter 1 first then chapters 2 & 3 etc. then you get told to read the book from beginning to end with pen & paper (which I don't mind so much as there are some books you don't need to take notes on but others you do). Then some books have sections on how to read them which tell you there are squiggly lines every so often to tell you to pause & think about what you've just read. I don't mind this so much when I've actually found them quite heavy so feel I need the time for contemplation but if I find them quite easy I don't see the point especially if the squiggly lines come up every 1/2 page, page or 2 pages. I would rather read them at my own pace which is normally 50-100 pages a day though I once read 189 pages of Pride & Prejudice while doing the washing.

I hate clearing out old notebooks mainly because I've got to read through everything I wrote to see if I still need them & I've written a lot from songs to stories. When what I've written is stored on my P.C. or on removable storage devices I know I can throw them.

I'm very sorry for the rant, Mrzz.
I tried to keep my rants off your thread.
Since I learnt to make & keep hush journals I kept my rants there instead.
However, some idiotic cyclists tried to run me over when I was going home.
They didn't allow me any room on the pavement to roam.
They thought they were racing round thunder dome.
They had no respect for anyone except themselves & laughed & called people names when they moved to 1 side.
The highway code contains lots of rules by which they don't abide.
The line of cyclists was very wide.
Last week I had to follow an old drunk on the bus.
He took his time & had no respect for us.
By us I'm talking about the queue behind him though no-one made a fuss.
When I got off the bus I got asked if I felt like kicking him as she would have done in my shoes.
I said "No, I just felt like saying a few choice words but understood his behaviour was down to booze.".
I didn't even start to blow my fuse.
Then I've had to witness people who don't realise you have to wait in queues.
They obviously think people wait for the good of their health.
They only think about theirself.
They don't seem to have heard "kindness & manners pay".
They don't act as if they do anyway.
It's happening so much recently I wonder if they still do today.
I hate it when you have to fill in a form asking you what your favourite subject was at school.
The reason for this is because my favourite subject wasn't something that was seen as cool.
Some class-mates were very cruel.
It was French because I never got more than 5 questions wrong without even trying.
When I got my results I was embarrassed & felt like crying.
I got called names like French freak.
I also got called a geek.
I hate all these things.
I'm sure some of these hates to you a bell rings.
I hope the future better circumstances brings.

I hate the new latte flavour chocolate. I liked the sound of it as I like chocolate & I love lattes so I told my Sister. She decided to be nice to me & buy me a bar. I tasted it & I wasn't impressed because the reason why I love lattes is because I love weak & milky coffee & they made the coffee that they put in the chocolate way too strong. However, I'll eat it all because it was bought for me & I don't want my Sister to think she wasted her money on me.

A happy/eletronic/dance song? It could have 1000 "hate" words on the title and it still would not qualify, my friend.

It does mention love as well, pal.

I also notice you mention things like that with a jokey tone so I was joining in.

I know you just love to hate me. Lol. I thought you just loved to hate things.

The love to hate is a good catch, but my point is that it is "too soft". The very least required for a hate thread song is this (but is is still a bit soft):

I know what your point is. I disagree with the tone suggestion though. I've got very sensitive ears. I can't stand listening to music that's too loud & sounds like someone's shouting at the top of their voice & banging their instruments as loud as they can. I like nice, melodious & harmonious music you can sing to that is well-played & sung. I also like good songs which mean something & have a good story behind them especially if they're written in rhyme.

I hate your song though I love "your song" by Elton John.
