He may be the luckiest player in this era. And most likely his luck has run out, I'll give you that.Stan wont make it at RG this time around.
he is washed up. he had his day in the sun.
Stan wont make it at RG this time around.

Stan wont make it at RG this time around.
he is washed up. he had his day in the sun.
these are the players that will win RG this year:
1. djokovic
2. murray
if djokovic stumbles then andy will capitalize.
there is really nobody else. all the stars in all of the universe have to line up just right for Rafa to win.
slams usually go the hardest possible workers with a laser like focus and drive and hunger off the charts.
that distinction belongs to djokovic. that is why he is taking everything he looks at.
he is going to get 20+ slams and 40-45 masters events. he just has no rivals. there is no real competition other than andy and he owns him too.
rafa is the only one who could have stopped him. he decided to run away.
now it is really too late. djokovic has lapped him a few times. how on earth can he catch djokovic when he cant even take a set from him.
he has now coughed up 15 straight sets to djokovic.
there is only one way out. it has to be clay and rafa has to put in the sacrifices.
he is fighting a little better on the court but there is still no hard work on the practice courts and very little work if any in the training room.
you cant beat djokovic unless you are willing to work as hard as him and you are as hungry as him.
Stan is the same animal as he's always been... it's not like he was competing for tournaments week in week out.... ever. He's unpredictable... Like I said in an earlier post, I didn't expect him to win majors from the the get go... but he can redline when in the mood and can be dangerous. The fact he's won all 9 of his last finals, including a couple this year indicates to me that he isn't washed up... it's the same old Stan - enigmatic, unpredictable, dangerous... but if you're looking for consistency... forget it.
Murray doesn't beat Nadal at Roland Garros... especially in the cauldron of a semi final or a final, which is what it is likely to be. Don't look to Madrid as a barometer.... despite being a clay court, it doesn't play like RG. Rome would be a better barometer... and you've just seen Nadal run Djoker close.
Ha ha ha. It appears that way, but...you never know.
I don't think we can rule out anybody at RG. Stan might not have been a factor this clay court season so far, but RG is the new tournament coming up. It is always nice to come back to a place where a player had success before.
I would think Nole, Andy and Rafa should be the favourites but that doesn't mean that either one of them will win. The draws will be important, the matches in earlier rounds, the weather, everything counts.
Based on Rafa's clay form (best since 2014), he's second favorite at Roland Garros. I see him ahead of Murray.
Last year at RG, I had no hope Nadal could beat Novak in the quarters. This year, my hope is similar to 2014 (when I thought Novak would probably win, but gave Rafa a decent chance).
Nadal has a chance at Roland Garros this year. Novak is not as sharp as 2011-2015.
