Well, other animals weren't covered except the scene with the horses running freely, which was put in to have the main actors thinking back to when the world was a simpler place. I disagree with your view of Selena... she was a feisty tough cookie who played a pragmatic game to try and prevent her younger charge from being raped by the soldiers.

Quite realistic and not a sign of weakness IMO. I thought the script was top notch and it beats any apocalypse movie I've seen before or after. They made a ton of cash on that movie, it was done on a shoestring and did well at the box office.

MONTREAL (Reuters) - Andy Murray underlined his hunger for more grand slam silverware on Sunday when he said he would pass up the chance to be world number one if it meant he could taste more major success.

The 26-year-old will play his first match since being crowned Wimbledon champion when he lines up at the Rogers Cup Masters Series event this week in Montreal.

After spending some time away from the court following last month's triumph at the All England Club, and having reassessed his goals following a holiday in the Bahamas and a training block in Miami, Murray's desire to win the sport's main prizes runs deeper than ever.

"I sat down actually just few days ago and talked a little bit about that ... I want to try and win another grand slam," a refreshed and relaxed looking Murray told reporters.

"Every player would like to get to number one but I would rather win another a grand slam or two and not get to number one."

Is this supposed to be a theoretical statement: genie pops out of the bottle, says you can either win a Slam or be No. 1, and Andy says he'd rather win a Slam? Or is this supposed to be a reference to the way he's going to handle his schedule which would prevent him from being No. 1 because he won't earn enough points?

Winning another Slam or a few more is probably less taxing and demanding than being No. 1 for a few years or for a year or two. It requires being highly consistent, the latter, and I don't think Andy feels he's up for that. So his main target is to win Slams and not worry about the ranking. He may get the ranking by default especially if he goes on to win a few titles in a year including a couple of Slams who knows.

I wonder how much of that is being influenced by Lendl's own thinking on the matter.


lendl is older and wiser now and has seen it all and done it all. lendl may have sized up andy`s personality and offered a simpler, less pressure packed scenario.


why not just take it one slam at a time and let the others worry about the rankings.

That wasn't my view but someone else's hence I used the quotation mark. I actually don't remember all the details otherwise I would have given my own view of it. I've seen it only once and that was right after it came out so that was a long time ago. As I said, it wasn't the least bit original and also, the acting was sub per, but that shouldn't hold a movie back. For me it started off very well and the first half was quite good as far as I remember, but then it started to fall apart, as it failed to give an explanation about a few things. In other words, it did not tie its story very well.

Anyway, I think I'll close it on that. I am glad you liked it, really.

The only bad acting performance IMO was by the young girl. All the others (Cillian Murphy, Naomi Harris) moved onto bigger things. I don't know if you watched the sequel... 28 months later.. That was crap... but Danny Boyle wasn't directing.
