memo to baron britbox:

if I understand duchess dj`s request accurately, this is the castle image she wants at the opening page. the existing one does not have this fountain in front.

but we will double check with her.

Yes, General Clay, that's it :snigger

Hello General Clay,

I'm really pulling for Haas. His old bones and muscles couldn't turn back on after that long three hour rain delay. It did him in :( I'm happy for DelPo tho .. I like his cool but powerful style. I like a lot of the guys (Roger, Murray, The Joker, Monfils) but I'm looking for a new fav. Raonic better get his act together!!!

I'm looking forward to Venus' return too

Thanks for explaining things to The Baron. That waterspout really kicks off Dunrobin .. it's like your floating in the pond sipping a coctail  and looking up.

no worries duchess dj. baron will fix you up. he has probably been quite busy as of late.

that is a good list. I like milos also. he plays perhaps too high risk at times but clearly he has a bright future. I would like to see him spend little more time on clay so he can develop his consistency off the ground.

what about a cool looking sig duchess? would you like me to make you a cool sig that includes some of your players as well as your castle? it will be unique.

I can make an experimental one and post it here if you like. you can see if you like it.

I have yet to see Prometheus general riotbeard. It is on my list.

Lawrence of Arabia was amazing. peter o'toole has almost no equals in his line of work. I am surprised he never won an Oscar.

another one that we should have mentioned was charlton heston`s "Khartoum". fantastic film.

I think Prometheus was great, but people can make legitimate arguments for why the story is problematic, but it is visually incredible in a smart and interesting way. The vision it presents of future military tech is quite interesting. Fassbender is also very menacing.

I am single lady emma. no kids and zero responsibility for now. i will see what life holds in store in the future.

I think I will need more than just one wife.

i have a home here on the coast. i also have a home in new Orleans and i have one in baton rouge.

Why do you say you need more than one wife? To do what? lol.

That's a lot of houses, herc. How do you keep up? are they all rented out?

Watching Lopez vs Gulbis. Gulbis just doublefaulted at break-point and got broken. Though it's only the start of 1st set and he can be a bit of a slow starter. I like this match-up so good match for me.

Here's my 25 to go on a desert island trip. No particular order of preference - just thrown in the back.

1. Lord of the Rings: Two Towers
2. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
3. Shutter Island
4. Grease
5. The Godfather Part I
6. The Godfather Part II
7. Goodfellas
8. Scarface
9. The Shining
10. 28 Days Later
11. Blackhawk Down
12. Top Gun
13. Gangs of New York
14. The Shawshank Redemption
15. Star Wars
16. The Lives of Others
17. Southern Comfit
18. Raging Bull
19. Pulp Fiction
20. Platoon
21. The Lost Boys
22. The Empire Strikes Back
23. Contagion
24. One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest
25. Gladiator

+ quick grab for two more - True Romance and Click.

I can't believe you liked 28 Days Later too. You Brits are so alike when it comes to certain things. :p

I tell you why. I had a long fight with the forum owner Mark at MW not so long ago. He liked it so much that it was probably on top of his list as well. When I told him that I didn't like it because it had so many flaws to overlook, it did not sit well with him. I even posted a couple of reviews by a couple of critics but anyway, you know, to each his/her own. We have come a long way since then. It's all now water under bridge. I personally find it very hard to get past a movie if the main plot comes with too big a hole.

I've highlighted the ones I liked. I did not like The Shining - mainly because I did not find it scary enough. As to the LOTR, the only one I have not seen is the Two Towers and that tops your list. lolol. I was told it was one battle after another after another after another, so that kind of took away my interest. I liked the first one the best.

Anyone has yet to mention Inception. Personally I didn't dig it as much but I know it became very popular within a very short time.

Gulbis has broken back and now back on serve. 15 all Lopez serving.

I noticed Britbox is on Gold Coast of Australia. One of my brothers lives in Brisbane. I wonder if he's going to the tournament next year. It's a great tournament though only 250.

Definitely. Federer has committed to playing Brisbane. I was planning to go anyway, but that news rubber-stamped the deal.

Federer should know that Brisbane belongs to Andy Murray only. :p

But seriously, that's great that he's going to be there as well. How far is that tournament from where you live, say, if you were to drive there?

Also, how are you liking the Gold Coast? it looks so beautiful but I must admit, I am not a very big fan of Australian weather - it's just too hot for me. But I know some people thrive in it.

There are loads of other great old movies apart from what some of you have mentioned so far. Life is just too short for all these good stuff.

I love Venus. It would be great for her to do well.

Triple that. Hoping she can have a nice run on the HC. She usually does well at the USO.
