They don't seem to play that much in the UK. At least Barry Hearn keeps them busy though. Looks like the future of snooker may be in China.

yeah exactly, the tour looks very different than say 2-3 years ago.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snooker_season_2013/2014

now there are almost more tours in China than England for example.
Don't think that's actually a good thing but could bring more interest in snooker around the globe...

Nothing professional.

We had one concert in a pub but that was hardly anything professional but just having fun. My friends and I have been into music for so long, almost everyone can play some instrument.

We have rehearsals twice a week. Sometimes more, sometimes less.

I watched an interview with Hearn, and I can't remember which city (Shanghai or Beijing) but he said there were more registered players in that city than the rest of the world put together.

Bazza will follow the money.

Not much. Just babbling around since yesterday. I did see a movie on Saturday called Spider. Not your typical Hollywood movie so maybe that's why it was very good. I have yet to see Trance.

Hello Castle,
just saw Hercs PM so I decided to join. Couldn't have done it earlier as I was on a camping trip.

I'm very 'busy' during summer, so I can't promise my full activity. I'm hardly at home.

Also, since I came here, most of you know my stand on the 'situation' at T4U and my opinion on other forums as well.
So I definitely didn't join here to talk about dramas that happened on other tennis forums.
We all move forward and one will find the way to regroup and spend quality time talking about tennis and other stuff.
t4u has been my '2nd family' ever since I joined and that will remain the same. Also I'm not here to discuss posters from other forums.

Having said that, I hope everybody moved on and let it go as this is only an internet forum.

Castle legacy hasn't been broken, as I see its still alive and well, so there's no reason to dwell in the past.

So let's have a blast :)

Welcome to Tennis Frontier, Lugburz! :)

I like your attitude: focus on the here and how, and have a good time.

Trance is on my to do list. Like nearly all Danny Boyle films.

Hello Lugburz !! good to see you here mate !!

btw did you guys read about Nole's father criticizing Federer & nadal ?? :O
In case u missued it out,

Djokovic's father hits out at Federer and Nadal
ESPN staff

Novak Djokovic's father Srdjan has hit out at Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal - claiming both are jealous of how successful his son has been over the past few years.

World No. 1 Djokovic has been the player to beat over the last couple of seasons, winning five of the eight grand slam finals he has competed in and raising the bar of the men's game.

And it is because of this success that has led Djokovic's dad Srdjan to criticise record 17-time major champion Federer and Nadal for being sore losers in the sport.

"Federer is perhaps still the best tennis player in history, but as a man he's the opposite," Srdjan told Serbian newspaper Kurir.

"He attacked Novak at the Davis Cup in Geneva [in 2006], he realised that he was his successor and was trying to discredit him in every way. Novak's success is an amazing thing and something that one cannot understand."

Djokovic and Federer have not seen eye to eye in the past, with the latter questioning the use of tactical medical timeouts of Djokovic in the same tie, and five years ago Federer was seen telling the Djokovic camp to be quiet after a point.

Srjdan also turned his scathing attack to French Open champion Nadal, saying a friendship which once existed has now disappeared.

"Nadal was his best friend while he was winning. When things changed, they were no longer friends. This is not sport. This is what Novak has in him, but others don't," he added.

Srjdan believes newly-crowned Wimbledon champion and US Open holder Andy Murray is not like Federer and Nadal.

"I have never, not even for a second, felt jealousy from Andy's family. They cannot be best friends as they fight for the most important titles, and lot of money. But they are more than correct rivals," he said.

tbh, i am surprised Nole's dad had the guts to speak it out loud. We all know each player is jealous of other player's some achievement.
Who knows, Fed could be jealous of Nole's consistancy on-court, Nadal could be jealous of Federer's longetivity & Nole could be jealous of Federer/Nadal's numerous record.
But, saying out such statements aloud in public causes only anger amongst fans & might also spoil their image.

Last week, Uncle Tony said he gives instructions to Nadal during matches which was followed by a huge uproar among fans causing a unhealthy debate.

saw that article the other day general. I wonder what brought that about. his father had been quiet for a while but suddenly felt the need to speak out about that stuff.

You should check Spider out then. David Cronenberg has got to be one of the best Directors out there. Unlike Scorsese, he doesn't try too hard and a lot of the time he just lets the plot flow. I like Scorsese's work though.

I also ended up re-watching 12 Monkeys (2nd viewing) and Shutter Island (3rd viewing). I like how the total perspective changes with each viewing.
