I see that Betty is posting here. Hey Betty, guess who I'm meeting next month? Santi!!! I'm about to book my bus ticket and accomodation in Munich. I even cancelled some other plans so that we can finally meet.

Anyway, before I'm being accused of having bad manners, haha: Hey everyone else!!! :p

good point general sid.

also by making it a night match for murray, that is 3 complete days before he even gets to face an opponent here.

they should not be treating a defending champion this way.

he is the one who has the chance to get to the final anyway.

this is plain madness. they are shafting andy.

Ticket holders for Tuesday's night session might have felt a little short changed as they witnessed just 35 games across two matches, with Novak Djokovic beating Ricardas Berankis 6-1 6-2 6-2 and Victoria Azarenka crushing Dinah Pfizenmaier 6-0 6-0.

Why the hell did thay not play Murray on Tuesday's night session.

Wednesday's late matches have already had more drama by virtue of the fact that reigning champion Andy Murray has been kept waiting for three days to play his first match. "I'm playing my first round match at the US Open at 7pm on a Wednesday..." he tweeted on Tuesday evening. Laura Robson will attempt to reach the third round against Caroline Garcia on Court 11 at around 13:00 BST

Aloha everyone.
Hi :D read about your trip:cool: won any drinking contests? :p

One of my Croatian friends didn't want to have a drinking contest with me because he was afraid (and knew he had to drive me back to my place afterwards). :laydownlaughing Maybe next time.

Hey CD!!! Long time no see indeed. I'm too lazy to read back in the thread. Whenever I start, something comes up and I close the browser window again.

I'm still coughing, got back from the doctor. The cough seems to be allergic but looks like I have another tonsilitis. :( I'm really considering having my tonsils taken out although they say there can be a lot of complications during and after the surgery.

que pasa princess nikki.

just be careful. don't let it linger on.

you may have to go get some antibiotics. hope you feel better fast.

Thanks for the welcome. I'm still a newbie here although I registered a while ago. Seems to be a great place to be though. :)

nikki you are not old enough to have any complications should you decide to get the tonsils removed.

you will get to go home the same day and will have to eat ice cream for a day.

ice cream and soup for a day or so.

but do your research and consult more than just one doctor.

for now just make sure to eat smart, get your rest, and grab some antibiotics if the doctor suggests that route. plenty of hot soup and extra vitamin c and vitamin e will help.

you can knock out the infection in 48 hours with antibiotics but you will still have to take them (antibiotics) for 10 days.

As long as my doctor doesn't give me antibiotics, I'm quite happy that I don't need to take any. The medication she gave me seems to work for now. I will go back there on Friday though because she seemed quite clueless about whether I have a tonsilitis or something else. I don't really have a sore throat or anything, nothing is hurting and I'm full of energy. :-/

I visited many lovely places but I lost my heart in Mostar. If I wanted to make a signature picture of my trip, it would be only of Mostar pictures.

Duncan should really come here. I don't see him post on MTF that often but that is maybe because we all abandoned him, hahaha.

I will see what the doctor suggests next. I went to some doctors in the past and each one of them had another opinion.

I took antibiotics for 5 days before going on holidays so I don't really want to take another batch of them anytime soon. :p

Take vitamins is a good idea. During winter I took lots of vitamin and wasn't sick at all. Should have kept on taking them during summer as well, I think.

The Djokovic match came up too late for me to watch general.

But as you say, it looks like he flew through that match.
It's difficult to see anyone troubling him until the quarterfinals.

Just found out a bit more about Janowicz from an ESPN article.

Three days before the match, Janowicz hurt his back. He doesn't know how. At this point, he doesn't care. He received an injection. He even tried therapy and acupuncture.

Janowicz, the 140 mph man, was hitting serves at 78 mph. He dropped 11 double faults. He even served one ball underhand.

"I couldn't serve. I couldn't turn. I couldn't rotate," he said. "I asked the trainer for more painkillers but because of my injection they wouldn't give me more. … It's disappointing."

His last statement, "It's disappointing" is an understatement. He had high hopes for himself as did many of his fans in Poland. But he's out. One hopes he can get over this back problem. Back problems have cut short many tennis careers.

Respectfully,
masterclass

If he had an injury and had 3 days to think about it, then why not pull out in those days just like Murray did a week prior RG? What's the point playing the first match with an injury, losing and then making excuses?

In any case, I am not convinced at all.

So Andy's playing tonight. Ideal would have been if he had played Tuesday night given that he's the defending Champion after all and the fact that, Nole opened his match last year on Tuesday night as the defending Champion. Still, no respect for Andy.

I want to patiently wait and see what happens as we move along with the schedules. Personally, I am a bit happy that it's a night match, so I'll be able to see his first match and the fact that he's meeting with Llodra makes it an ideal match. However, a lot of the UK fans won't be able to follow it though, but then again, most of Andy's schedules are designed that way in UK viewers' favour and the likes of us always find ourselves at a disadvantage because of it.

There's a slight chance of rain from 7pm to 8pm so that may delay the match but as long as Andy gets to finish it tonight, iz all cool.

Good morning, good afternoon and good evening folks wherever you are.

This week feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeels reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaallly verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry looooooooooooooooooooooong. Due to work of course.

Haven't seen any tennis so far. My cable was acting up and still not fixed but it's now watchable - at least. The sound quality is abysmal. Something went wrong with HD box and a technician is coming this Saturday, of all days, to fix it - that's the earliest they could give me. I tried myself but it's now seems beyond my grasp - the problem. Have no idea what caused it. Very, very frustrated. The tech support at Rogers has got to be the worst in business worldwide. I am very unhappy that I don't have an alternative. I don't like blood suckers.

Way too many bagel sets (judging by the results so far) on the women's side. Who watches this slugfest.

Really hoping for Andy to make a quick match tonight and once Friday is over and he's played his 2nd match and won, he should be on regular schedules. I am going to be focusing on good weather only and not dwell too much as to what might go wrong. No reason for me to focus on the negative when the positive is an equal possibility as well. The only reason why anyone, as I see it, would focus on the negative if they had too much time in hand and had really nothing better to do.

Besides, if he's destined, he will defend his title against all odds.
