stop the madness lady Emma. stop watching your favorite players from behind the sofa and other furniture.

and forget about that spineless, legless chimp at that other forum.

that forum is dead and buried.

just stick with us and have a blast.

Behind the sofa is the best place for me to watch Andy's tennis especially during a Slam. I have a nail filer, paper, coffee, a pillow (in case the match turns out to be a very long one), remote, a blanket. Blanket because when Andy falls behind like 2-6, 1-5 in a Major against a capable player like Cilic, I feel terribly cold and oh, my cell phone in case I need to call 911 due to heavily body and mental reactions during the match. You can see how well equipped I am for Andy's matches that has the word 'roller coaster' written all over it! No forum can prepare me like that, you see.

we have the solutions at the castle for those kind of issues.

just hang with us and you will be just fine.

Okay, so you are a Rafa fan. I didn't know so I asked. Always good to know.

Wimbledon
USO
AO
RG

It's interesting to note that both of my favourite players - Pete and Andy - had won the USO first and then Wimbledon. So it feels like a good omen. I always get the feeling as if Pete likes Andy the most and wishes him to see succeed a great deal. Andy's such a down to earth guy like Pete - I see why not.

So anyway, that's my list. I like Wimbledon the best and that's because my dad introduced to me to tennis and Wimbledon in particular first, so it has a very special place in my heart. I was very close to my dad. He introduced many things to me and kind of opened my eyes at a very young age, so I was very influenced by him growing up. He passed away a few years ago. I was very close to my mum too. I want to mention that too so that my mum doesn't read this and feels snubbed! lol

I was exaggerating with my behind the sofa scene of course. Lolz. If I feel I am not jinxing Andy then I can watch him, but it's a duel inside so I constantly find myself fighting my feelings when it comes to Andy. Him winning is much greater than me watching so I can compromise on this. It's quite amazing how much we care about people we don't even know in person.

G'day Castleodians,

Bit of fun for the day... Q&A if you were stranded on a desert island.

You get to take the following allowances...

1. ONE Music Album (can't be a greatest hits)
2. THREE Movies
3. ONE Non-Fiction Book
4. ONE Fiction Book
5. A Pre-packed Meal (Starter, Main & Dessert)
6. A companion. (somebody in the public eye, not a wife, g/f etc...)

What do you take with you, 1-6.

Good one, brother!

1. Don Giovanni, by Mozart (it's a 3 disc boxset but I'm sure I can smuggle it all in).
2. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy
3. St Augustine's Confessions
4. Don Quixote
5. Veggie soup, Duck a l'orange, bread & butter pudding
6. I could go highbrow and would love to say a saint or Oscar Wilde, but I reckon on a desert island you'd want some fun, so Winona Ryder or Ava Gardner.

Kieran! All this time I'd thought you're a female! Lolz. But why Ava? Isn't she a bit too old for you? :p

I really liked your bread & butter pudding as a dessert. I totally missed that it's supposed to be a pre-packed meal. I was going with a full course meal there if you read my list. lolz

interesting list lady emma.

my list:

1. rg
2. Australian open
3. Wimbledon
4. u.s. open

we should make a list of our favorite tournaments outside these 4 slams as well.

what do you think?

andy had a bad back this past clay season.

he might surprise you on clay one day. he has a game that translates well to other surfaces.

nadal cant win rg forever.

sooner or later there will be an opening. andy has to take that opening.

I think andy will defend his Wimbledon crown next year.

but I believe we might have a different final in 2014: it might be andy vs roger.

roger is going to make one last mad dash for a slam. I believe it happens at Wimbledon next year.

my own player wears himself out on the clay circuit. he has nothing left to give at Wimbledon anymore as we have seen the last 2 years. he has to play too much and win too much in a very short period of time on the clay circuit. and he has been doing that for a decade.

he got away with it when he was younger.
