I wonder if Rafa would invite the top four and their teams to the Nadal Academy, play on the clay and on the grass. No Fans.. who would win the best of 5 setters

I would replace Medvedev for Federer when they play on grasscourt

Could be? 100% it will be. The numbers in France haven't been released yet but they're pretty damn bad and likely to jump a ton when released later today. 129 serious/critical as of now who will likely be dead by the end of the weekend. 250 dead in Italy today. Their worst day yet and their numbers have skyrocketed. Given that both countries border each other and have big totals, I give RG 0% chance of occurrence.

You are on top of this corona stuff. Every day you come here with spot on numbers :)

Don't know how is in other parts of the world, but here in Croatia (neighboring country to Italy) people are on some doomsday preppers shit. My wife grinded me for a week to buy some extra milk and flower. I tried hard to convince her otherwise telling her the grocery shops are full of stuff, especially milk and flower, which are not imported, but eventually I ended up with her buying those good to have products and of course some extra rolls of toilet paper. I am now feeling like a doomsday prepper myself :face-with-tears-of-joy:

Today I stocked up with some meat too. Went to my butcher and had to wait in line, but I am used to be first there in the morning hours. Now all of a sudden everyone is buying meat like crazy. One of the meat parts I chose was the lamb leg which was hanging on the hook and looked like last one and the older lady behind me was so disappointed whe she heard that I chose that. She had eye on my lamb leg. She looked so releifed when the butcher told her there is more legs behind he just needs to bring it.

Virus is the only news 24/7 for a few weeks already and I just want to watch some tennis. 6 weeks is a long time and most likely will be even more.

Why are people hoarding toilet paper lol aisles empty

2 Australian women were fighting each other for toilet rolls in Sydney, in a supermarket, police had to be called, they were charged and have appeared in court,I am embarrassed to even type such a thing, people here are going 'crazy' for toilet paper, rice pasta tin food, our shelves are bare, we are now in ration mode where 2 packs toilet rolls per person, they will have to have 'toilet roll police' to monitor.....we have become such a 'selfish society' sad to say.

I haven't seen news about canceling RG, yet. But bad is that Italy postponed Giro di Italia, which is holding in May, as does RG . Corona case had time dependancy in Gauss curve, and Italy is in forward compared to France. I suppose deaths in Italy will start decreasing in few days, while France will have increased numbers. I suppose.

Wondering if Djoker will be skipping clay preparations. Fed will for sure. So we might have "2020 clay seasson" off.

Not sure about deaths in Italy decreasing. It's getting worse there going by the number of serious/critical and overall cases. My guess is today the released figures will be shockingly high. Yesterday was their worst day yet. Very sad times.

Let’s hope the higher temperatures associated with the advent of summer kill the virus. Perhaps by early June, we can start to regain some normalcy.

Not likely. It’s not that vulnerable to higher temperatures. Also in spring and summer its harder for people to stay at home, which is the only measure that helps to slow down the spread.
Very big test for the society, especially when the economic desaster reach his full consequences .
Sport is absolutely secondary.

Talking about the high temperatures I'm not sure to believe it kills the virus because here in Miami we are in the 80's and there are more and more infected including 6 students of one of the Universities and also the Miami mayor, they are closing the schools since this next Monday I think for two weeks. But the Spring break continues and the South Florida beaches are packed despite coronavirus fears so we'll see what is going on.....

Singapore,. Australia etc are pretty hot at this time (Singapore is always), but they have their own share of cases. So, it appears that the summer killing the virus is more of a wishful thinking than anything else.

Yes, Singapore is always hot, but they were one the first countries (and mind it that it is basically just one city, so its population density is quite high), and they never got to crisis levels, so maybe the temperature helped. It is not only the relation of temperature to the virus itself, is that on average human immune system is also dependable on temperature.

I misspoke. It’s not the heat but the humidity that suppresses the virus. My husband is a Harvard PhD so he knows a bit (sarcasm) about this. Passing on info I hear when he chats with his friends in the industry. Summer should provide relief.
