What a display by Liverpool!! The score line is a bit flattering to Man City because Liverpool could have scored more. After Liverpool’s second goal, the Man City defence was on the verge of total collapse, but Liverpool seemed to take the foot off the pedal at 4-1. The good thing though, for City, is that they have a healthy lead over Man U, and they should be able to manage it.

No doubt City will be champions but on another note, I think we're seeing confirmation that over the next 3 years that Arsenal won't be in Champions League contention. We're looking at a City/Chelsea/United/Liverpool/Spurs group... can't see anyone else in the mix.

The problem with Arsenal is that Wenger has become bigger than the club itself. They should have fired him years ago. Even non Arsenal fans like me feel he should go. His brand of football has become so predictable, if beautiful.

Are you an Internazionale supporter?
Haha it's Betty's fav team, she's the big footie fan and when she was a kid she used to go to Inter matches with her dad but she's still watching all the matches with her son...and fighting with the Juve supporters haha... So ofc i'm supporting Inter too and they got me into this song....

When i was younger i went to some Diósgyőr, Debrecen and Fradi matches, i have friends in Miskolc, Debrecen and BP...... But i'm not a HC footie fan with only 1 team.... Usually in Hungary only Újpest is a big no-no btw........most footie fans dislike that team most....

Before the Inter song this Fradi song was my fav but the Inter song is better:

That Spurs win against Utd, was a long time coming. We've been so inconsistent this year. Gave them a proper hiding. Onwards to Anfield. I'll hide under my bed for that one

I hope it's a good sign for the Juventus matches in the UCL.

Glad you kicked their ass but looking forward to the Anfield encounter... all I know, is that it won't be 0-0.

This is my fav footie song, which is yours ? :D

Can't go wrong with "You'll never walk alone"...

When you walk through a storm
Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
Walk on through the wind
Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone
Walk on, walk on
With hope in your heart
And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk alone

Fields of Anfield Road... (short version)

All round the Fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and he could play)
We had Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
Of the glory round the Fields of Anfield Road

Campione and Scouser Tommy

Campione
Ohhhhhhhh Campione
The one and only We're Liverpool!
They said our days were numbered, we're not famous any more
But Scousers rule all Europe like we've always done before
Ohhhhhhhh Campione
The one and only We're Liverpool
Shankly built a football team that shook the Spion Kop!
We've conquered all of Europe and we're never gonna stop!

Scouser Tommy
Let me tell you the story of a poor boy, Who was sent far away from his home,
To fight for his king and his country, And also the old folks back home,
Now they put him in a highland division, Sent him off to a far foreign land,
Where the flies flew around in their thousands, And there was nothing to see but the sand.
Now the battle it started next morning, Underneath the Lybian sun, I remember the Poor Scouser Tommy, who was shot by an old Nazi gun.
As he lay on the battlefield dying (dying-dying),
With the blood gushing out of his head, As he lay on the battlefield dying (dying-dying), T
hese were the last words that he said…
Oooh, I am a Liverpudlian, And I come from the Spion Kop, I love to sing, I love to shout, I get kicked out quite a lot!
We support a team that's dressed in red, it’s a team that you all know,
It’s a team that we call Liverpool, and to glory we will go!
We won the league, We won the Cup, We’ve been to Europe too,
We played the Toffee’s for a laugh, and left them feeling blue! 5-0...

Most players have a song coined.

This was Gerrard's song when he was captain

Steve Gerrard, Gerrard,
He’ll pass the ball 40 yards,
He’s big and he’s fucking hard,
Steve Gerrard, Gerrard.
Steve Gerrard, Gerrard,
He’ll pass the ball 40 yards,
He’s better than Fat Lampard,
Steve Gerrard, Gerrard.

Dear god... the officiating in that game was abysmal. The linesman even did a little fist pump when Spurs got the second pen.

Lol! That was a cracker mate. Is your complaint about the first pen? Coz it was a definite pen. Kane was in an off side position but he was reactivated because the defender touched the ball. Shocking first pen from him though. It would have been an injustice if we didn't at least get a draw from that

The foul is committed as soon as the passer plays the ball... so he was offside at that moment... before the reactivation... so Liverpool should get the free kick. The only argument that it wasn't offside was that he wasn't interfering with play. To me he was.. as Brian Clough said "If your not interfering with play then you shouldn't be on the pitch!"

Second pen was also fairly harsh... he was going to ground before anyone touched him.. yes, there was minimal accidental contact I see them given often though even if I don't agree with it.

On the balance of play a draw was fair but maybe not the way it played out. Cracking first goal from Spurs.

Hi BB, nice songs thanks :D

lol you know the line "I love to sing, I love to shout, I get kicked out quite a lot!" reminded me if my Diósgyőr fan buddy,

maybe i told this story already, but when we were in a pub there was another Diósgyőr fan, and they started singing Újpest hating fan songs together like "Hol az a kilencedik kerület, utáljuk őket (where is the 9th district, we hate them)" and "oleoleoleoleooooo faszszopó ÚjpeeeeEEEEeeest (cocksucker Újpest)" and the bartender went to him like "son, you don't even know those people blabalblbabla" so they stopped for a while, then after a bit they started again, bartertender scolded them again, and my buddy said "well, he's right, but still, cocksucker Újpest" :lulz1::lulz2::laugh:

I'm very sorry you didn't. It would have been nice to have a British winner. We don't often get them. I just had to share my apologies with you but won't say anymore as I couldn't watch the game as I still live at home & we have 1 T.V. & Dad hogs the remote so we always watch what he wants or rather if I'm interested in watching I watch what he's watching, if not I read, sew, paint or write. I only watch certain T.V. series I like because I bought box sets which I watch when he's not in. I try to join in with everyone normally by getting the gist of everything said & coming up with what I know based on that & generalising whatever can be generalised or participating in word-play & sometimes because I've heard about it on the news or in the newspapers. That's 1 of the reasons why I ask questions. I also ask questions because it's a way of letting the other person know that you're interested in what they think & have to say & sometimes asking questions opens up conversations. Maybe I should stick to writing poems, stories & songs & talking about books & stuff though.

Hey Federberg, It was a terrible start tonight ( although first Juventus goal looked offside ? ) but our team is incredible, really fantastic fighting spirit never giving up a really strong performance, we dominated Juve for 80 mins not many teams have done that recently. I wanted an away goal or 2 and we got that, really wish the Wembley game was next week!
