wasn't actually talking Spurs specifically. EPL teams as a group are doing better than for quite a few years. Wondering at what point we can call it a changing of the cycle. It's bound to happen sooner or later

It will happen but only winning things will bring on the changing of the guard... and you'd think with the amount of money splashing around in the EPL, it's already overdue.

I think Real and Barca have had top players the last 8 years or so. Those players are now aging, and for them to continue dominating, they will have to replace them with equally good players, which is not very easy. I think lean times are coming for Spanish teams too. I also cannot explain why English teams have not done well recently in Europe, considering how strong the teams are.

BB, you guys need to sort out your defence. That was a bit of a shocker from your boys. I think we just may have got over our Wembley hoodoo now

Tell me something new mate! Every other week I read headlines like "Klopp bemoans defending"... yet he's the guy who can do something about it. The only one I really rate is Nathaniel Clyne and he's been injured all year. Jon Flanagan is a tough little right back I'd keep too, but can't get in the team. The rest are a shambles.

Biggest Premier League crowd ever, with 80,000+ there.

I was actually planning on going, but stuff got in the way. My Liverpool supporting mates, are mightily relieved we didn't do it in the end

Great win for your boys. Did you go?

Looking good for the Premier League clubs as it stands... All might qualify. Must be a bitter pill for those Gooners to swallow.

I wish! Tickets were a mother to find.

I actually think the cycle is turning. Madrid looked complacent. Time for English and Italian clubs to rise I reckon. I'll be glad if that happens. Really tired of these so called Spanish giants preying on premier league clubs

Huge win today. The old Spurs would have fluffed their lines after the Madrid win by losing to the Eagles. We rode our luck a bit, didn't play well and Zaha missed an open goal. I'll take it though!

Everton just leased the land at Bramley Dock in Liverpool Waters for 200 years. Looks like they are finally going to build a new ground after a million false dawns.

Capacity to be somewhere between 50 and 60,000.

Liverpool are expected to redevelop the Anfield Road End at Anfield to take their capacity from 54,000 to around 60,000.

Looking at Anfiled Stadium, I thought it was ahead of its time because it always looked modern. Maybe adding facilities such as hotels and restaurants would make Anfield even more attractive. Not sure if it’s worth the effort to incrrase the capacity by only 6 000. Why not take the capacity to 70 00075 000?

They're doing what United did at Old Trafford. Season by season they're increasing the capacity of the stands. I went to Anfield last season and I was very impressed with what they've done with the new stand. Great food in the restaurant. Pity the Spurs were shockingly poor that day though...

That makes sense. Increasing the capacity in small increments means that Liverpool will not be financially overstretched. I dream of Anfield with a capacity of 70 to 80 thousand, and I imagine it would be full most of the time.

Five English teams in the last 16 of the Champions League... Liverpool smash Spartak Moscow 7-0 at home to win their group.

Ronaldo wins his fifth Ballon d'Or.

All hotting up on the Western front. Champions League is hard to call this year.

1-0 at the half in the Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton. Everton are garbage here... this is going to be a goal fest in the second half. Mo Salah is sheer class.
