Yes it's over. I think he was careless there. He raised his boot when it was clear that he was not going to reach the ball. He could have tried to bump into the goalkeeper if he was hoping to have the keeper sent off.

Not a smart thing to do, considering that Salah is very good at counterattacking, which is the only way Liverpool can play now in ten.

I think Klopp wrote the match off at half time and decided to bring off their key players. We've got a tough stretch of games coming up.

True. It makes sense, with the Champions League coming. I am happy Coutinho is still around. He will make a difference in the champions league.

Great result for the Spurs yesterday. Hope that kills off the Wembley hoodoo once and for all. And 'Arry looks like he's back firing. Never in my wildest dreams did I think we would do Dortmund like that!

I chuckled when I heard that the Liverpool fans gave a standing ovation to Coutinho yesterday. I'm not sure what he wanted to do was all that different to Raheem Sterling to be honest. I thought he was well within his rights to demand a better contract at the time. The only difference so far as I can tell is that he left because his contract was ending. Meanwhile Coutinho signed a new contract last year then as soon as Barca batted their eyelids he hands in a transfer request. Not saying they should have booed him, but a standing ovation? Really?

Man U looks ominously strong this season. Have they met any big team this season in the EPL?

^generally folks wait for at least 10 games to make judgments on how things are playing out. Way too soon to tell. I do think that if my team, Spurs, don't get their home form together they'll struggle to get into the top 4. Wembley came at the wrong time for us, otherwise I think we could have been favourites this year

The two Manc teams flying at the early part of the season. City look stronger to me though.

Yes agreed. Don't think Man U have played anyone tough yet. City though are different gravy

City were brilliant against Chelsea. They seemed to outnumber Chelsea everywhere on the pitch. Their passing and movement were slick, but I think they could have been slightly fresher than Chelsea, from the midweek matches. I still expect Man City to struggle against more physical teams.

The question was could Aguero and Gabriel Jesus fit together... looks like they are finding their way. I think City wins the title this season. They've got so much depth also. I think United, Chelsea and Spurs will round out the Top 4 (in no particular order)... although agreed that United haven't played anybody of substance yet. Early days of course.

I think it was disrespectful of Guardiola to refer to a team as the 'Kane team', as if he doesn't know the team's name.

Typical arrogance from Guardiola.

As a Spurs fan I found it to be an intriguing comment. It implied to me that he sees Spurs as a major threat to his title ambitions. It's funny because in the UK we've generally thought that Pep was a nice guy and there was a tendency - when he was at Barca and Mourinho was at Real - to think that Pep was the good guy and Jose was the bad one. Perhaps it wasn't as black and white as all that!
