It would be great to see Harry finally score in August. Why are you so sure that we won't sign Barkley? Has some new news come out? I know he's injured, but the word is there was still interest. And now that Everton have Sigurdsson he's going to a spare wheel for them. At the end of the day if they don't sell him now they'll get next to nothing in the January window, this is the last year of his contract. I'm thinking the injury probably strengthen Levy's hand. He'll probably put in a £15m bid on the last day!

I read last night we were going to wait until January to sign Barkley. Lol could imagine Levy doing that! We finally signed someone don't really know much about him, really hope he can improve the team. Think we really need to buy a winger with pace too before the window shuts. Although I get the feeling we may end up with a last minute panic buy like last season!

God! Not another Sissoko! Actually I hear that we're after some pace winger guy. I heard we have some young kid, Anthony Georgiou? He played a blinder against Juventus. We also have N'koudou so I don't know that we lack pace. Posh just has to give them a chance. I would love it if we were able to either win the title or maintain top 4 status doing very little business. Of course the risk would be that next season we could loss some of the established stars. It's a precarious position

Don't know much about Anthony Georgiou but sounds very good for the future. N'koudou really needs to be given a chance this season. It would really be great for us to win the league I hope we can but top 4 is key. I can't wait for the new stadium and kinda wish we stayed at the lane for one more season, after last years home results.

Anyway hope we get the win today, but whatever happens I think we will have to wait a couple more games to see how playing at Wembley will affect our season.

Sigh...
I have to say, Conte outdid Poch today. Once we got the draw we should have held fast. Was it Sissoko who lost the ball and didn't track back for the killer goal? Why the fuck are we playing him. He's rubbish! If Poch is trying to sell him do it against lesser teams. If our squad depth is so poor we have to play him then we're doomed. I'm assuming it was Sissoko, I might be wrong...

It was Wanyama!!! He is not fit , he missed all pre season yet plays 90 mins v Chelsea. Dier who has pre season match fitness under his belt this year gets taken off. Wanyama is slow sluggish and terrible going forward and gives the ball away so much. Dier and Dembele should play CM no one else is on the same level , Wanyama is a brute force player who gifts goals and misses open goals. Dier going off changed the game bad sub unfortunately we were opened up so easily after he went off. Chelsea were very lucky though, we dominated the game Kane got unlucky again with the post. But chelsea play like shit the last 2 games and today fight harder then ever. I can't stand them we could have got Doper Conte sacked if we won today. Conte was doping during his playing days if you didn't know.

Lol! Yes I remember that season when all the Juve players seemed to have acquired muscles and fitness from no where. Well.. I guess your point about Wanyama just reinforces my point of view that Poch messed up. Listen, I love the guy, best manager we've had in my lifetime but he tends to be too loyal to his best players. Look how long it took for the likes of Davies and Trippier to get decent runs. I'll grant him, that when a player looks half decent he gives them more and more of a go. Playing a not fully fit Wanyama at Wembley of all places is inexcusable FFS!! He should have kept Dier on instead and quite frankly the situation called for a player we've loaned out. Onomah is brilliant in those types of situations where you want to tighten your grip on a game.

Still I was encouraged by how we played. We could have easily won that. I was a bit worried after the Toon game because I thought we looked our usual selves at the start of the season, not really at it yet. This was better, but it's so depressing losing to those blue cunts...

Oh wow...
It's really sad that monetary compensation allowed him to get away with it. I'm not saying that because he plays for Chelsea, but drink driving that involves a death should be a serious crime

I was shocked when I first heard about it. Very sad story.

I'm a big fan of Poch too, but sometimes I don't agree with his team selection, I feel he prefers Wanyama to Dier , I like Dier and was quite disappointed when Wanyama took his place last season. I like Davies and Tripier but prefer Walker and Rose, I hope we keep Rose fantastic player imo. I think things would have been different if Dier stayed on but then again we may have lost 1-0 who knows? Yeh shame about Onomah but thankfully only loaned and not sold.

Performance was great result wasn't lets hope for 3 points next sunday!!!!!

I actually feel more comfortable with Trippier. He takes less risks. But Rose... I think he may be our best player. I'm not joking. When he's fit, he's freaking unreal. A absolute beast. I think Poch should be doing all he can to get more guys used to playing first 11 footie. We've got champions league to play as well. Everyone needs to believe. You can't just play someone like Nkoudou once in a blue moon. Why he gives Sissoko a chance and not Nkoudou escapes me. Any word on Lamela? I swear if that guy hadn't been injured last year we would have won the title

Trippier doesn't seem to make the silly errors but he doesn't have the pace, I wonder when Rose will be back? I agree N'koudou needs to play more and Janssen should be given more of a chance. No idea about Lamela hope he will return soon it all seems a bit of a mystery what's going on with him.

heard a ridiculous story that we might let Janssen go to WBA. Hope not! We can't keep letting go of strikers and leaving it all up to Harry!

Btw... that was a shocking champions league draw :help:

The draw was not great, but then again we had a more favourable draw last year and it didn't work out, we have to beat Dortmund and get off to a good start, as for Madrid it's about time we destroy them, they treated Tottenham with such disrespect over the years, hopefully it's a heated game, with Madrid using the usual bs tactics, just to put off any of are players who might want to go to Madrid in the future ....

Frustrating result today, we really deserved the win, Kane's august curse was in full effect again unfortunately. But we played well and created a lot of decent chances.

Btw was you at the game today? Just asking as I saw someone in a Federer shirt ? For once I'm quite glad for the international break, hope we can get the season started properly in September.

Haha! No unfortunately I wasn't. Maybe Fedfans also tend to like the Spurs. Mate... it's so depressing. In the last couple of years I haven't stressed when we're one nil up with 5mins to go, but I was in full on panic mode. Are we regressing?

I think it's just our normal early season type results this time last year we had drawn 2 and won 1, it seems to take us a few months to get back to our best. We lost 3 points in 2 games because of late goals which is annoying. If we are gonna win the title we need a good start but looks like we may be playing catch up again. I hope we sign another player or two and really hope no one else leaves.

Porch said that we're getting at least 3 more players
