The really interesting questions (which do have definite answer) are the following
1. Did she list meldonium (or its other name) this year under medications taken?
2. Has she regularly listed meldonium in the past?
If the answer to 1 is no and answer to 2 is yes, it means she took a calculated risk
and so should be given 4 years.
But, technically a player is not required to, but encouraged to list all the medications that they are taking and so her lawyer would argue that she just forgot to list it.
But, my guess is we, the stupid fans, will not ever come to know the answers to these questions as well as the question of exactly how much meldonium was found in her blood, thanks to the "transparency" of ITF/WTA.
