He'll be more aware than anyone of what he needs to do. With RBA in front of him and Goffin just behind, I'd lay odds he makes it. Winning tomorrow would help his cause and his confidence in a big way. For this reason I'll lean towards rooting for him, but I like both. Medvedev has grown on me. Hopefully has put his brattiness behind him. I like that forlorn 19th C. Romantic look he has going on.

Yeah I reckon Zverev will qualify for the WTF alright. He just needs to keep serving well. I was shocked reading how many he hit at the USO and Cinci. Knew it was bad before but crazy bad reading the stats. Check his double faults there in the 2 worst matches.

I think it's fair to say that Zverev almost had the "yips" on his serve. Laver Cup really did him a world of good. I hope he can carry it through the rest of the year and into the next. I'm still backing the guy to have a pretty fabulous career. Not Fedalovic-fabulous, but remember back in the days when 3 Majors was HOF?

An interesting final because Medvedev at this point seems to be the player who will be the next big thing and win many slams, but Zverev was in a similar position a few years ago but then kind of collapsed. That being said, Zverev (22) is actually younger than Medvedev (23) and if he wins tomorrow and keeps improving, he will put himself back in that position to fight for the top spot.

But unfortunately I don't like the attitude of both players. They are talented tennis players but their personalities are pretty bad. Both can act like arrogant fools on court when things don't go their way, breaking rackets, cursing, disrespecting everyone around them. I will still watch cause it's great tennis, but I can never be a fan of either. I hope in a few years someone like Auger-Aliassime ends up being the next big thing because he's a class act.

zverev didn't loose because he has terrible cardio..this is the dumbest of post for you over the past three hours
Not terrible compared to normal guys, but far not enough to challenge Bull over five sets.

Didn’t realise their h2h is so in favour of Giraffe. Could be a real battle.
Hope Daniil starts to correct this stat.
I wouldn’t be sad if giraffe don’t get the ticket to WTF.

Haha Double DF to lose the first set, wow that’s brutal. Let’s see if Giraffe falls apart or shows some fight in the second.

He served well until this disaster, but was too passive overall in my opinion. He has much respect for Daniil's game!!

Medvedev is a total beast. He's playing the Moscow Open as well which starts tomorrow. Hopefully doesn't tire himself out too much before Paris and the WTF but like St. Petersburg, he likely feels obligated to play another home event at Moscow. Rublev and Khachanov (defending champion) are also there. Khachanov has a lot of points to defend at the moment: Moscow and the upcoming Paris masters.
