From the news articles, it looks like they are trying to suppress it away and he will undergo
surgery only if it comes back again.

I'd do the same myself. Same with wisdom teeth. Some people choose to get them taken out but personally I put up with antibiotics a few times and eventually the pain went away. Screw surgery unless 100% necessary was my thought on the matter and no doubt same for Rafa.

You know what I wish... that Rafa would shut up about these injuries.

Ok we really need a pot-stirring emoticon :snigger. In all seriousness, guy can't catch a break. I am sure he knows what he is doing, but from the outside, common sense says he should withdraw from the tournament and do his best to get healthy!

PEDs for your teeth? :D All that would do is make him take larger bites out of the trophies when he wins them :p

It's not good to be on antibiotics, and especially for an athlete. I wish he'd deal with this without further burdening his body. If surgery is the cleanest and most effective way, I think he should have this as soon as poss.

Of course, he has a team of experts who know best, but I hope they get it right. This season has been disastrous for Nadal, with injuries and ailments... :nono

Despite all the muscles mass, his body seems quite fragile. The doctors must adore him.

As someone who has had over 30 years in the medical profession, also I had a dodgy appendix, which happened to burst by the way, after I was put on medication. When you are put on medication,in some cases there is only a 50% chance that is works. To me Rafa should have withdrawn.

I wouldn't go that far, but it certainly is way down from when he was 18-21.

rafa/wafa will be in court and "uncle toni" will be moaning about the judge being not of a man but of a wimmin. rafa's gonna be going "is no rock of air no..is rafa's blob of menace. that's the reality"

Just see it, Stan lost to Simon. Not a huge shock, in the big scheme of things.

Jock Strap is on now, against Kei, this could be a good one...

Dimi losing to Bradley Cooper. This kid isn't serious about qualifying for O2. He hasn't done anything since the Wimby SF. Sock/Kei will be very entertaining, 2 shotmakers.
