Sock takes the opening breaker over Nishi. Upset in the air? Is Kei tired? Meanwhile, RBA is serving for the match against Popsicle.

Kei is out.

He looked totally wasted, and had medical treatment for his hip. Hopefully none of the other contenders get very far and he can recharge the batteries for the last two tourneys.

Nishi is gone in straights. Shouldn't have played 3 weeks in a row

Maybe next year Nishi will skip Kuala Lumpur and keep some powder dry for the big fries...

Exactly. Time to have Novak-like schedule. Only GS, MS and the occassional 500 events. It will be much better for his body too.

I think he's great to watch. Not sure how far he can go. His mentality seems great, and his stroke production looks solid. Is he big enough though?

Interesting... on the ATP site, Thiem is listed as 6ft 1in. Is he really? Looks shorter to me. Is this one of those times where male tennis pros say they're taller and heavier, while women say their shorter and lighter? :D

Actually he did what was the best to make sure he could qualify for London. Between KL amd Tokyo he made 750 points.
By winning only Tokyo, and going after Shanghai, to top that he would have needed to get into minimum DSF. which was never a guarantee it may happen.

Very good by Novak.
Next up Kukushkin, who eliminated two good players so far, Robredo and Anderson.

Nadal is risking his own health. It is a bit dangerous and a big nonsense.
