^ It's really surprising. I thought after the tournament win in Shenzen he would pick things up. Ferrer hasn't exactly been pulling up trees recently. If I was a Murray fan, I would be very concerned for him at the moment. Stuff like this is going to make it even more difficult for him going forward. It's getting to the stage where decent players on an upturn aren't even going to be afraid of facing him. I guarantee that the likes of Roger, Rafa and Novak get spotted a few games every time they get on court, just because of who they are. That was probably the case for Andy as well, but these accumulating disappointments must be eroding that advantage
Andy's level came down a few notches after his surgery, and he tightened up his game some, but he is not back where he was.
He has a very poor stat against top 10 this year, losing to David just got poorer. Only 2 wins: against a 10 ranked Tsonga and a 9 ranked Cilic.
So he can beat JUST the bottom top 10 guys thus far. That is why he is ranked as he is, 11.
The door was opened, as Dimi, Milos bailed out, but now David is gaining ground on him, not to speak about Berdych, who if he plays well could make the final here.
