Bisexual just means someone is attracted to both sexes, a la the Kinsey Scale. It’s not transgender or whatever.
Exactly. In fact it’s the opposite to trans because it’s a binary, whereas trans people don’t think the binary sexes define anyone’s identity. This is defined by gender, which isn’t binary, contains fluidities, etc. Increasingly, as trans ideologues become aware of absurdity of their position, they now try to suggest that sex isn’t binary either.

This all reminds me when I dared to mention that Hispanics are not some monolithic consensus entity. ; )

So just asking opinions: is the umbrella catch term as such of LGBTQ a bit misleading with conflicting agendas & terminology definitions?

Taking something to a logical conclusion, if someone is Trans isnt that a straight person if they are attracted to someone of the opposite sex from the gender they identify with?

I think you’re right but do you know, your question had my brain aching trying to take these things to a ‘logical’ conclusion.. :lulz1:

lol! I assume this is going back to the Mexican "cultural appropriation" thing again? It's funny that you were the one who used the term Hispanics in referencing the IG clip. I do hope you're not trying to assign victimhood to yourself? :face-with-tears-of-joy:

But on a more serious note, I think you nailed it. There's definitely a conflict there, the T doesn't fit!

Bingo! This is why the T should be separated from the LGB. Trans can be part of LGB, such as a man becoming a woman, then having relationships with other women, but it isn’t by default a part of LGB.

Gotta love Murray! He’s not only intelligent, but very funny.
He’s tough, funny and gay - and he’s said before that if being gay is nothing to be ashamed of, then it’s nothing to be proud of either. I don’t know what you think of Pride month but along with Black History Month - which bizarrely gets celebrated here in Ireland - we’ll soon have no months left to celebrate things that are actually worth celebrating..

It’s an interesting question: should there be any one group which is given an entire month of focus?

Coming out used to be associated more frequently with shame, ostracism, and other negative consequences, so the attempt to turn it into something not to be ashamed of — i.e., to be proud — made sense. These days, however, people do not, in general, have such negative reactions when they come out. Pride marches and so on have achieved their goal, so is there still any use for them?

It should be kept in mind that being gay is being part of a minority which has to announce itself. If someone is black, Hispanic, Asian, etc., it’s apparent by looking at them; if someone is gay, it’s up to the gay person to tell others. (Well, except those dancing on a disco float in a Pride Parade, as Murray mentions. :face-with-tears-of-joy: ) But these moments of having to out yourself can be excruciating, because the desired reactions are not at all guaranteed.

Thanks brother! I agree with you that the goal has been achieved. There comes a point where everything that’s good goes on too long and becomes counter-productive. It goes OTT and faces a backlash. Like the whole critical race thing, the white privileged jibes, the argument that only whites can be racist, that whites never did anything good, that the west is ruined by whites. This will eventually provoke a backlash where whites become tired of being told they’re little more than devils, and start to scrutinise more closely at what the identity groups that accuse them have ever achieved. It’s the worst of all worlds, this racialising of everything.

Likewise, with gender activities, the erroneously called Cis-white-man is the historical villain. One (other) thing Douglas Murray has said that’s very insightful is that modern civil rights - so called - are like a train that long ago reached it’s destined station, but didn’t stop there, in fact it gathered speed and just kept going and hasn’t stopped. It’ll be a catastrophe for everyone, setting us back years…

“One of the school board members said she felt unsafe and then started to cry.”

:lulz1: :lulz1:

This is where Harry Enfield meets George Orwell. It’s scary, and hilarious. But it’s more scary. Imagine how corrupt and arrogant you have to be to treat a parent of a young infant this way? These f**king scum are living in an echo chamber, with absolutely no care for children. They’re creepy perverts. They should be kept 500 miles from children, and yet they have the gall to act as if a parent is at fault for asking what’s going to be taught on the curriculum their child must suffer?

They make it difficult for parents because they know they’re doing something wrong!

I honestly don't know how this is allowed. I don't get it. Schools are providing a service for parents. The education of their children. Surely the client is allowed to understand the composition of the product??

It’s allowed because the prevailing culture isn’t going to police itself. They have no mechanism for correcting themselves - or even for self analysis. So they never question or criticise their own side - and that side runs schools, universities, trade unions, the medical profession and on and on. It’s the gullible leading the blind - after they’ve all drunk the poison that’s labelled as being sweet and healthy…

I actually don't think this is culture. I think this is political. The right has ceded Education to the left. If the right were interested they would maintain that schools are meant to provide a service to parents. But the left maintain that the State is responsible for the education of children, independent of parents. It's the only explanation for this

Exactly, but within the so called culture wars, have you ever heard of anyone on the extremes question their own side? It’s more a problem on the left because they control the media, the universities, schools etc.

Do the work, teach me? What the heck is this? He sounds like he’s humouring them - but these types of people have no sense of humour!
