Absolutely fantastic first set by Berdych against Seppi. 6-0 in 21 minutes. :clap

And then Berdych goes on to drop the 2nd set 3-6. :s A ball ricocheted off of his racquet and hit him in the neck in the second game of the set and he hasn't been the same since. But Seppi is playing much much better.

Just woke up and had hoped to see that match. :(

Judging by the score, it seems that Tomas was channeling his "inner Djokovic" for that match. :cover

Oh come on. That ball whacked him pretty good in the neck.

I meant the roller coaster ride... 6-0 first set, loses the plot in the 2nd and allows his opponent back in... then closes out the third.

If you had read my post, I had just gotten up and had not seen any of the match.

I did and you could have meant several things. I guess your "joke" fell flat. :snicker

I did not know about a ball hitting Tomas. And as a fan of both guys, even if I had, that would not have been the direction of my comment. Happy for the bagel and hope he gives one to Andy too.

Murray's 12-1 against Simon. Gilles beat him in 2007. I think Murray is safely through to the semis. :snicker

Stan and Milos won their R2 matches and both played better than in the opening round.

Seems like yesterday's match vs. Seppi. Berdych steamrolls Monfils 6-1 in the first set in 22 minutes.

And Berdych's legs are massive.

Monfils hits a dropshot and Berdych takes a nasty spill trying to stay in the point. He fell on his left wrist and is now getting treated. Hope it's nothing.

Absolutely solid win by Berdych today over Monfils. Won 6-1, 6-4. His serve has outstanding. Seven aces, zero double faults, and he didn't face a single break point. There was a bit of a scare when he rolled over his left wrist at the beginning of the second set but he appears to be ok. Murray tomorrow?

Legs like these are usually built by cyclists or even more so by the speed skaters

6-4 to Simon, but Andy is playing much better than at the start of the match. Gilles will have to work hard if he's going to pull off this upset.
