After winning both Munich and Madrid I'm sure Andy will be happy whatever happens.

As for the Djoko-Almagro match, it was a very high level contest but Almagro began being inconsistent towards the end again. There should be no worries at all for Novak's fans though, he played great. We'll see what these next few days bring for Nadal and Fed.
I just don't see Rafa raising his level in Rome. :nono
(Having said this though, I would like him to prove me wrong)

Tomic played his 22nd tiebreak of the season and lost again after three breakers. Weird.

Nice to see Wawrinka stop the train wreck his season is quickly becoming, even if it is for just a round.

Almagro may have been the perfect opponent for Djokovic to clear out his clay court cobwebs.

Just when I'm ready to start cashing in my Tomic chips, he starts letting me down again.

Kohlschreiber retires? Testament to Murray's fitness level maybe.

Querrey folded his tent up quickly after dropping the first set in a TB. Those bagels after TBs are always disappointing.

Has there ever been a guy as strong against the non-top tenners and yet so unsuccessful against the top tenners? The consistency in the success/failure is truly amazing. Which wil happen first; an upset loss or an upset win?

Ferrer My Ferrer. Good win over a tough opponent. He's still a darkhorse at the FO I think. Something crazy might happen at the FO this year and Ferrer could be right in the middle of it.

Murray confirms he is playing! Such a hard thing to decide; do I keep up the momentum or rest for the big stage? Especially on clay. Glad to see him playing but part of me wishes he would just take the week off.

Gawd I love tennis. While baseball/football/basketball fans suffer through long offseasons, ridiculous draft shows, questionable foul calls and long, numerous commercial breaks, tennis keeps on giving us the sport week after week with minimal fuss.

Murray vs. Chardy seemed to be a tougher match than Murray expected but after the first set things fell into place. Good opening win for Murray! 10th consecutive win! :clap

Fognini breaks back in the 2nd set. Dimitrov was playing a great point right up to where F3 hit a Nalbandianesque passing shot.

He played a qualifier ranked 87. I'd say that scoreline makes it pretty hard to judge. From what tennis.com comments section says his opponent couldn't hit a barn door.

This is when I have little to no sympathy for Grigor! He's so busy "styling," he's lost his advantage and is in a real pickle against a player with few weapons! :puzzled :nono :cover

I'd actually say Fognini has more weapons than Dimitrov personally.

The Dimitrov trajectory seems to have flatlined this year, possibly headed toward a downward trend. Think it might be time to shop around for a new coach, maybe cool things with Maria and take a lower profile with the media.
