RE: 2015 ATP General Tennis News

First set to Bellucci.

Does this qualify as "tennis news" ?;)

Not yet! I think it's excellent practice with a left hander so close to the way Rafa plays! Nole's been known to drop a set for no good reason! I never sweat it because I know the match is in his hand! If he really wants to win it, he'll come back; maybe put a bagel or breadstick on the guy to let all of us know who's boss! :p  :dodgy:

Update: Ok, it was a "fishhook;" 6-2! :popcorn

Thanks tented! Posted in the wrong thread.

Bellucci has been red-lining the whole match. Finally loses serve and it looks as though he's come back to earth.

Sounds like a battle! The normal course is that Bellucci vanishes now, after being broken, but we'll see...

Novak gets to serve first in the second set. Costly loss of serve there, but still, Nole obviously raised his game at the right time. How's he looking, the defending champ?

No problem. We've all done it.

Novak gets the second set 6-2 -- Bellucci crashed upon reentry. ;)

I figured he would. Novak is the one player I can still confidently think will win a match, after dropping the first set. It used to be that way with Rafa and Roger, but not as much anymore.

Bellucci and Novak look alike so much, not the game but the face and body :)

Got feeling Novak didnt want to enter gunbattle with Tomaz, he was putting as much to keep with him, like to be in Eco drive, knowing opponent will run out of gas soon. This tactic is giving him better in "long run". Tomas couldnt not keep that level, he got burned up.

You and me, both.

Rafa v Stan, (The Revenge?)
Nole v Nishi
Roger v Berdy

These are potentially great matches, and although I favour the Big 3 in all of them, they could get very interesting, and I'll miss them... :(

Saw the last four games of Djokovic's match. He looked okay, onwards to play Nishi tomorrow. Let's see how that goes.

I hope Federer beats Berdych. I am actually kind of curious to see how the Fedal match would pan out.

Yeah, this was quite obvious. I was just wondering when his level would drop. Novak just outlasted him, without doing anything particularly special. I doubt this will be the case with Nishi and he wil have all kinds of trouble if he plays like this.

I can send you in detail how it will pan out but it is a bit x-rated, so if you wish, I will send you a PM?;)

Tomorrow a big question will be answered. If Berdych can rise to the occasion to clinch for the first time a top 4 ranking (assuming Kei loses).
If he defeats Roger, Rafa cannot pass him, even if he wins Rome.

I personally think he will not be able to. He always chokes in such situations.

Nishi has some longer run now, he migth be tired, while Djoker just get rid of rust. If too much troubled, woldnt be surprised if Djoker tank the match.

I think the same way. I think Roger would be the perfect player for Rafa to face now - as you know - but Rafa facing Stan for the first time since Oz 2014 is bound to have a bit of reverb to it. No question that these pair will remember, and Stan isn't too bad on clay either. So if he faces the two Swiss and wins, I think it's a great sign for Rafa.

I didn't see Nole but it sounded like the story of the Young Bull and the Old Bull. Nole carries a lot of nous. But Nishi will be a different calibre. Interesting matches....
