Starcy Potato has beaten Stepanek and has earned the right to play Roger.

When was the last time Roger played such a low ranked player (293)??

After the match , the question will be " When was the last time Roger LOST to such a low ranked player", the way things are going... :(

If Roger lose this match I will delete my account.

And I'll eat my hat. I can understand the sentiment by the Fed's fans here, but no way Starace is getting more than 5 games. I actually wanted to change my drawchallenge Sunday to let the Fedster make the finals, but I was too late. If Djokovic beats Nadal, this is actually a golden opportunity for him to win this Masters. He has the game, he just needs to find it.

Okay.. I know everyone is going to laugh it off and probably even me .. but I have a weird feeling that Federer is gonna win RG this year.
I am not saying I believe it .. seeing the way he is playing definitely not..but its the feeling I just cannot shake away.. may be my fan heart is on its overdrive

I'm not going to laugh at you, but I do think you're in overdrive. However, should Nadal and Djokovic somehow not make it to the final, and Roger does so without having to meet either one of them, then I would go with him winning RG. In other words, I would put him third on my list of likely winners, after Nadal and Djokovic (in that order).

Congrats to Youhzny and to you Blue Jay Bill. He just defeated Haas. So much for Haas - Federer... I think your luck will run out with Fognini though.

So is Roger an underdog against Youzhny too?

Not in my book:

I think there must be someone over at ATP who does his best to make the players look as warriorlike as possible. Funny yes. :)

That really messes up my draw challenge.

Verdasco won, though! I thought he was on his way out after dropping the second set, but kudos to him for hanging in there.

Anyone watched Gasquet-Dimitrov? It must be upsetting for Grigor not to be able to build on the win against Nole.

I was, check my comments under the Dimitrov thread. It was a very poor showing by him, a UE machine really.

Yeah, I liked that Fernando is suddenly fighting. And Julien must be energized by the fact that he could get another shot to Roger:D

So much for the danger of Federer being upset. He has an easier way to the final now than Nadal Djokovic Del Potro, Ferrer or Murray.

Anyway, I can't see anything with these shades on court. Needed the reply to appreciate that point by Djokovic.

Julien Benneteau can meet Federer in the semis. No way he is making that :D.

:) Yeah, don't like the new haircut much, BUT his tennis was impressive today, I must say. His opponent wasn't exactly the best player in the world, but never mind - the great man looked like Roger Federer again.

True, but it doesn't do any harm to get a bit of matchplay under his belt and build up some confidence before facing them.
