That's true. Grigor gonna gets an azz thumping and who knows Novak may take Grigor's pussycat doll away from him too.

All Soul's Day. One of my favorite people in the world has that birthday, too. Nice day for it. He's still missing Miami, too, rather inexplicably. Roger's missing MC and Rome, I think. Only Novak has the "box set."

OOps forgot about Miami....oh well,as long as he can keep serving well like he has,he has a good chance to win.

Miami and Paris. He won Shanghai when it was held in Madrid (2005)
Hard road to hoe again this year, I think. Shapo looks dangerous, and Novak no longer sweating and feeling the effects of flu. Not sure, though, how far Rafa has to go here, and then in the YEC to still seal the YE#1. (I know only that if Rafa wins Paris, it's done.)

That's because it feels like he should have won Miami by now. That he won Cincy before is the surprise. Rafa's first MS final was in Miami (v. Roger in 2005...even before he reached an MS final on clay.) How that one has eluded him is a mystery and a drag.

If we have a Djokovic Nadal final, on current form, Djokovic would win extremely easy.

If Djokovic beats Nadal in the Paris final, then the lead will be 880 points going into YEC. In that case, IF Nadal reaches the final of YEC, then Nadal finishes number 1.

In Djokovic’s case, he basically needs to win the YEC and hopefully Nadal loses before the final.

So, Nadal winning tomorrow will be critical in the YE race unless of course Dimitrov shocks the world and beat Djokovic tomorrow afternoon.

My bet is if he were to manage a win, Rafa would skip The YEC! He'll probably need to go since I think he's ripe for an upset tmrw!
No chance he skips YEC.

Current form because he beat a completely erratic player named Tsitsipas? you would be very disappointing with the result, hater!

I hate you.

Don't hate the messen... wait. No, you can hate whatever/whoever you want. Hate is freedom.

Seriously, my point is: I saw Djokovic's match against Tsitsipas, and it was the best match I've seen Djokovic play in 2019, and that includes AO 2019, where I was not impressed (considering his standards).

Nadal had obviously a great hard court season, but it was centered on consistency. He did something he is extremely good at, which is to consistently play well, from match to match, set to set, game to game. Of course you will see one slip here and there, but it is WAY above the rest of the field in that regard. I am not saying that he is playing average tennis consistently, I am saying he is playing quite good tennis consistently.

But that alone is not enough against elite players playing well, and could not be enough against a near elite player playing his best (that's why, as a Federer fan, I REALLY wanted them to play here or in London). Against those players, it is a matter of who is able to raise to the occasion. What I saw from Djokovic against Tsitsipas was consistently better from what I am seeing from Nadal in this tournament, with the exception of the serve, and I don't think Nadal can, at the moment, play at that level.

Having said that, I have zero doubt Nadal keeps his level for the next matches, while I am less certain about Djokovic. I think Djokovic has a higher chance of being upset by Dimitrov than Nadal by Shapovalov.
