Good win for SWiatek, I like Iga's game.

Bouchard justified getting a WC I suppose but other than that 1 SF run 6 years ago, still puzzled she got it

Now if someone could just pull that ad from the Tennis Channel where we have to hear Bouchard smugly say she was in Vogue ad nauseum....

What you lookin at! :lulz1:

Some interesting match ups also some first time meetings in this round.

Fiona Ferro will play Patricia Tig in their first meeting, both Ferro and Tig have won clay court titles this year.Ferro in Palermo and Tig won her first WTA singles title in Instabul.....I feel Ferro has the edge in this match.

Young gun Canadian Leylah Fernandez,2019 Junior RG singles winner takes on No7 seed Petra Kvitova.Petra has been flying under the radar so far at RG,I feel she will have too much experience for Leylah.

No8 seed Aryna Sabalenka will play Ons Jabeur No 30 seed and another RG Junior singles winner in 2011,both have such contrasting styles.,this is also their first meeting.Sabalenka needs to play controlled tennis and not commit to too many UFE or else I can see Jabeur winning this match up.Frankly I would not be surprised with a Jabeur win she has soo much variety in her game.

Garbine Muguruza 11th seed has a H2H 1-0 over Danielle Collins, winning in 3 sets in Rome last year.I can see this match going the distance again,Muguruza winning.

Jelena Ostapenko was impressive how she dismantled the No 2 seed Karolina Pliskova, she will play Paula Badosa, thier first meeting,Ostapenko played controlled tennis, hopefully she can keep this up and I give her the edge in this match.

Last match of the day on Suzanne-Lenglen between Muguruza vs Collins has been suspended due to rain.

It looks like this match will move to Chatrier after the mens match has finished, where the roof is on.

The match has now been moved to Chatrier.

That would have been a good insurance break for Garbine leading 3-0 in the final set, broken back, she leads 3-1 final set.

What a brain fart by Muguruza, double break in 3rd set, 3:0, serve and just stops. Even stopped watching tought it's all over, came back, She had 4:2 and after that she completely disapeared adn gifted the match.

I thought she was building nicely at RG then this nightmare of a match when she was in full control.....then self destructed.

She did the same thing in Oz. She had the break in the decider and her serve and FH went somewhere else. Kenin ran away w/ the title.
