I am sure this has been discussed elsewhere. Given that Fedalovic is in top half, a player in the bottom half need to win against only one of them to lift the trophy. I think this is the first time the draw has presented such an opportunity. [Note: some of Fedalovic losing along the way does not count. I am talking about a situation where people know going in to the tourney that they only need to win against (at most) one of Fedalovic)]. I think this did not happen even in GSs where one of the three have skipped.

That does not ring a bell either.
It was renamed in 2019 to Simmone Mathieu.....I looked it up because I did not remember it either or I thought it was court centrale
I just did another search and it was Court Centrale....cant always trust google these days:)

watched fedsters match, the kid hit some decent ball,

went as well as he could have hoped, even got some funky slice forehand action in.

My first impression was that it looked like the John Forsyth character in "Scrooged."

I guess the French Tennis Federation is hoping if they did that, they wouldn't have to rename their premier stadium after him, instead of Philippe Chartrier, who was far from their best champion. He never won a Major and never got out of the 3rd round at RG. They could have named the big one after Suzanne Lenglen, who won 21 Majors and was arguably tennis's first Superstar. But she was, ahem, a woman. I bet they're sorry now they didn't name the main one after her.
what year was it named chatrier?..he ended up being president of the itf or something, maybe he named it after himself (yikes).

.he was one of the blokes who told borg he had to play in quals of majors in 1982. the autocratic turd. should be changed just for that crime against tennis.

Ya, 10 years is a long time. 2011 Djokovic was actually unbeaten going into RG and yet got toasted. Current Djokovic is not that hot. :lol6:
Are you the Nadalfan2013 of Fedfans in this forum?
If so, just more posts that are not worth reading.

Some crazy battles out there in Roland Garos... Felix Auger Aliasime just lost a 2nd set TB to go down 2 sets to love to Italy’s Seppi. Felix needs to dig deep.

Meanwhile our Russian of the Holy Locks, Andrei Rublev, at one point 2 sets to love down, is scrapping back in the 4th set mano a mano with Germany’s Struff. Rublev win or lose, will shed blood.

Monfils is showing mettle with Ramos Vinolas with an actual 2-1 set advantage , Allez Monfils!

Meanwhile is this 2005? Philipp Kohlschreiber is battling Fernando Verdasco .

Don’t you just love the French Open?

What a cold shower for FAA. I mean how can you lose to Seppi, a veteran who is spending more time in his vineyard in Italy than on tennis courts.

Rafa just Djokovic’ed an overhead.

But he’s up 6-3, 4-0 so ultimately it’s OK.

He’s lost in the first round in three of the last four tournaments.
He better forget this spring of 2021. I really had a feeling Uncle Toni could have a positive effect on him, but no success so far.
