I’m surprised about the straight set loss of Sonego. Without crowd support he just disappeared.

I just noticed that if Djokovic doesn’t make the final (quite likely since he has to go through Nadal) then Medvedev only has to reach the finals to go to number 1. Obviously, that is a long way to go considering he just won his first French Open match, but it is far from impossible. The draw is very friendly for him and he played well today. Now that the monkey is off his back who knows.

If you are around Roger really needs to work on his 'tweener's'.:)

Anyone watching Tsonga? Guy is giving everything he has (and he doesn't have much), fighting for his life in the 4th set against Nishioka. You can see how much it means to him. Poor guy has to play without crowd support and that waste of oxygen Paire got the support early today. Bizarre. I really feel Tsonga would pull this one if he had fans on his side.

Nice win from my Italian youngster Musetti over Goffin (13) 60 75 76(3)
Currently 90% done with my 6 mile walk but after 3 knee surgeries since 2016, the last thing he needs is to tear the nads off himself with tweeners. That said, himself and the missus are probably done having kids anyway :D

Nishioka wins in 4th set TB. Tsonga had 4:1 there and 2 serves, but wasted all. Great effort, but came up short at the end. Nishioka just too fast, gets to almost every ball.

The third show court is now called Simonne-Matthieu court. I think it used to go by different name before. But, I can't recall what it is.

OMG, that's absolutely desperate to go back 10 fk'n years! I'm embarrassed for you! I expected better in so many ways! :astonished-face: :-)2

Ya, 10 years is a long time. 2011 Djokovic was actually unbeaten going into RG and yet got toasted. Current Djokovic is not that hot. :lol6:

Medvedev speaks French well,I remember him screaming at his coach in French at this year's AO.He lives in MC and trained at a academy in the Antibes in France as a junior.
