Yes, I saw that post, and I agree. This is one of those areas where we have been spoiled on how consistent the Big 3 have been, week in and week out for much of their careers. Sure, they're also better than most everyone on most days, but it takes a lot to keep doing it, over and over and over. I think he may need some real help. At RG last year it was OK to say that Domi was having a bit of a sink after winning USO, and he lost to a then-trending Schwartzman. But it's been 7 months, and he's at a time of the year he should be peaking, He and his team have a lot to reevaluate. As I posted above The Austrian has taken a huge step backward in his tennis after the USO
Today was just a huge mental collapse....maybe he needs some outside professional help in that area.
Agree, though I feel he has lost some weight or muscle, his legs, you need strong quads for clay.,he looked thin to me today when I was watching his match.Yes, I saw that post, and I agree. Interesting. Gunter Resnik used to have him in amazing shape. Maybe his ennui has kept him from training properly, too.Agree, though I feel he has lost some weight or muscle, his legs, you need strong quads for clay.,he looked thin to me today when I was watching his match.
I read he had a rest from training etc,he admitted he was not ready to compete, maybe he has lost a bit of muscle and weight in that time frame.Interesting. Gunter Resnik used to have him in amazing shape. Maybe his ennui has kept him from training properly, too.
I feel Dominic needs professional help quite frankly after yesterdays loss,he was up 2 sets to love,it was a mental collapse. His tennis has taken a big backward step since the USO both physically and most importantly mentally.I still think it would have been better if Zverev won that USO final. I have a feeling it would make him a better player in some way, while for Thiem it was opposite. He just snapped mentally and lost his mojo. Now let's see when and how he bounces back from here, I wouldn't be surprised if his struggling drags on to the next year, he looks spent at the moment. Let's also remember that he is not the big3 and crisis like this does not mean you get back to the top after. He is swimming in dangerous waters right now.
He has really unsettled Sinner from the 2nd set and broken his rhythmHerbert playing his usual god level R1 at Roland Garros.
Couple of great returns and passing shots by Sinner. He has to win this set now.Sinner breaks to love and they are 5 games all 3rd set, good fight back seeing he was down 2-5 in the 3rd set
Hopefully it was not looking good,Herbert had taken all the rhythm away from him since the 2nd set,Sinner still needs to add more variety to his game.Couple of great returns and passing shots by Sinner. He has to win this set now.
Sinner lacks finesse. He lost his patience in TB and that might cost him a match, we will see. Herbert always a pleasure to watch when he is on.Hopefully it was not looking good,Herbert had taken all the rhythm away from him since the 2nd set,Sinner still needs to add more variety to his game.
