Don't forget Rafa's going to have to stay up rather late to get his match in even if it's a short affair! I guess this loss guarantees Djokovic the YE #1 ranking! That's #6 breaking the tie with Fedal, Connors, and Sampras?! Just one more record taken away from the "supposed" GOAT!

Actually it TIES The great Pete Sampras, who was #1 6 consecutive years, a record that won't be broken for a long time, if ever.

Sinner so agressive. Doesn't look like he will just bend down, hope he can make this match a little bit interesting, but he needs to break and take the first set.

I think he'll hang with Rafa for a while. He's so good. Maybe get a set?

Sinner to serve for a set. He deserves this one, was slightly better player.

I love Sinner's composure, but Rafa is the master of the break-back.

First set to Nadal. I guess you've all heard this, but Sinner is the youngest man to make the QF of a Major in his first time of playing it since Rafa.

Sinner had to take this set when he served for it, he just lacks experience. Off to bed, it's getting too late with these RG matches, not used to it at all and I'm getting old too.

I'm really loving this Sinner kid - maybe a new favorite, along with Rublev and FAA.

The number of players who have taken a set off of Rafa at Roland Garros is remarkable short - only 15:

7 Djokovic
4 Federer
3 Soderling
2 Isner
1 each: Hewitt, Mathieu, Puerta, Grosjean, Ferrer, Thiem, Goffin, Schwartzman, Sock, Klizan, Brands

Sinner is a little error-prone, but nothing that shouldn't be ironed out over the next year or two. I expect he'll be angling for a spot in the top 10 a year from now, and be at least close to elite by 2022, if not sooner.

One of the things I've been impressed with is despite his errors and some visible upset, he doesn't lose it completely and seems to stabilize his emotions rather quickly.

Sinner is my favorite of the 3. Bonus for me is he's Italian. Still loving FAA, though he's been a bit AWOL. Can't wrap my arms around Rublev, so far.

It is rare to see someone push Rafa like this. I think the chances of an upset are miniscule, but he's faring far better than I thought he would.
