Haopy 23rd Birthday to Iga Swaitek who had a straights sets win over Bouskova, 64 62, 2nd set she went into unplayable mode
I wonder if she will allow herself some Tiramisu in honor of her birthday her favorite dessert
Well done Iga!

Women's Singles R16 Top Half,

(1) Swiatek vs Potapova
(5) Vondrousova vs Q Danilovic
(3) Gauff vs Cocciaretto
(8) Jabeur vs Tauson

Will all the seeds win or will we get an upset?

It was a very controlled win over Kenin who was very frustrated. OK Clara had her downs but adjusted her gameplay and won. If there is a player who is under the radar it must be Tauson - well french tennis experts can be ignorant and has been this time. Jabeur next - and - eh - why not?

Kenin needs to go on 'chill pills she is a very highly strung young woman" sign of a good player to me is they can adjust their game when they see it is not working and they always seem to have another plan up their sleeve, to go to when needed, well done Clara!

Elisabetta Cocciareto (sp?) is adorable. Her joy is infectious. The Italian is through to the quarters. Hopefully Arnaldi will have similar good fortune in the guys’ draw.
She's in 4th round Rob, not the QF yet.

Well, that’s the first time I watched women’s tennis in a few years, and by chance not intent. :lol6: I wouldn’t have any idea where they were. Just thought she is a super sweet personality.

About time Saba used the drop shots more in her game, she is a GS doubles champion, using the drop shot correctly especially when Badosa is behind the baseline and catching her out.
Rinse and Repeat,
When Saba has her controlled aggression game 'on' she is pretty much unbeatable" Saba has really stepped up in the 2nd set leading 4-0

Paolini proved too strong for Andreescu especially in the 3rd set, though great to see Bibi back and making the 3rd round of a major, ( from memory I think Bibimade the 3rd round at RG last year ) after being off the tour for soo long, not a bad result at all, hopefully Bibi can remain healthy, she is too good of a player to be missing on the tour
Paolini d Andreescu 61 36 60

Keys went AWOL,had a break in the 1st set against Emma Navarro, went to a TB, Emma won 76(5)
Emma is really attacking the 2nd serve of Madison with good results
Emma serving for the match 5-4, broken, back on serve in the 2nd set 5 games all
6 games all TB for the 2nd set
Emma played a good TB and won the match 76(5) 76(3) against Madison
