It’s kind of comical and somewhat sad that the commentator obviously has no clue about Arnaldi, his game, strengths and weaknesses. I’ve turned the volume off. (it was Jimmy Arias, I learned)

Arnaldi through rather easily. He played well (50 winners) and drove Rublev crazy, which isn’t a far drive.
What a tournament Matteo is having winning in SS against the HD Forza Matteo
Sinner also through in straight sets!
BTW Arnaldi now jumps 8 spots and is No 34 in the live rankigs

Rinderknech had 2 sets lead against Etchevery and had to retire later, because he injured himself when he kicked (in anger) with his foot that green metal stuff surrounding the court. What a fool! :lulz1:

Maybe he and Rublev should have drinks together, and commiserate, I feel for Rublev's knee after smashing his knee in anger with his racket when he was playing Arnaldi

Rain has interrupted these 3 matches on outside courts,
FAA v Shelton postponed until tomorrow 12.30 local time on Lenglen
Hurkacz v Shapovalov postponed until tomorrow 1pm local time on Simmone Mathieu
Dimitrov v Bergs, postponed until tomorrow, not before 1pm on court 14

Huge opportunity for Seb Korda in the 2nd set which has gone to a TB
Alcaraz winning 1st set 64
When push comes to shove in the TB, Alcaraz finds a fhand winner
Alcaraz leading by 2 sets to love, though may I say far from his best tennis
BTW I have never seen Korda soo animated on court :)
Alcaraz d Korda 64 76(5) 63, a much better level from Carlos in the 3rd set

Not surprised that Nishikori retired in his match against Shelton he was having back problems in his previous match
Shelton wins by retirement 76(7) 64
Poor Nishikori. He should just retire as his comebacks last max 1 match before he's injured again.

I kind of had a feeling that Arnaldi was going to beat Rublev, and he's probably going to do the same to Tsitsipas. You can never count on guys like Rublev or Tsitsipas.

Agree, it is just sad to watch him play at present, he has tried to make come backs, quite frankly I also feel it is time for him to retire.

Machac, who looks just like a character from a fantasy movie, just made a miraculous point playing two shots with his left hand (he is right handed).

Btw Machac is a pretty good player and will have his chances. Second match from him that I am following.

I'm always happy to see Shelton lose. Plus, maybe FAA is on the rise again. Maybe. He's definitely starting to beat some good players again.

That's one of my favorite tennis impressions I've seen, because it is so over the top.
