The thing that is and always will be Serena's undoing is her movement especially on clay. The other surfaces enhance her weapons, so she can generally get away with a lot on the other surfaces unless her movement is just that bad. Lazy footwork kills her.

I think if she were playing Serena in an early round she would stand a better shot than later because playing her in a semi or higher is dicier and easier said than done.
