The road to body preservation does not lie well in back to back to back 3 setters. She and Patrick would do well to analyze this and make it less of a habit from here on out win or lose.

If Serena wins RG it will be her messiest trip to the title. It looks a lot more like the way Maria gets there.

I know! This is frustrating to watch her have these slow starts and messy trials of trying to right the ship. Credit to Sloane though she really is taking it to Serena.

I am wondering if her new hitting partner is the right fit for her. This harkens back to her early days where she was an unforced error machine so far this tournament.

This is unbelievable. Serena keeps winning despite getting in serious trouble. This has happened for three matches in a row.

It's a cliche, but it's true: Champions find a way to win.

It seems like Serena took a page out of Sharapova's playbook and is following it to a tee.

It will be interesting to see how long Serena can flirt with disaster. Hopefully, this will be the last of it. However it would be an interesting pattern should she go on to win this slam - '12 loses in the first round, '13 wins it, '14 loses in the second round, '15 wins it. Let's hope she can get there. Errani played her tough on clay this year in Fed Cup, so...if there ever was a player who could take advantage it would be her.

I doubt that Serena would copy anything from someone she has beaten 17 times out of 19 times..:popcorn

I think Errani would be a much weaker opponent than Sloane or Azrenka. I finally expect an easy QF match for Serena. Serena in 2 on that.

Having said that of the 3, 3 setters Serena has played only 2 of them should have been 3 setters because Sloane and Azarenka have game. She doesn't have an easy road Serena from here on Errani, possibly Kvitova, maybe Ivanovic or even a new face if she reaches that far. Good news is a very strong showing here and Wimbledon can lock up Number 1 for the year for Serena.

It is hard to say what Serena will do though many expected an easy go with Sloane. We will see if Serena really bares down now that she is in the QF of the French again. I know she better put everything she has into it though because these opportunities are tough.

I'm not worried about Errani, but after seeing Serena play the last few rounds, Kvitova is looking more ominous.
