I was pretty shocked by his tone, as well. Though that was mentioned in several articles, even headlined, it was rather worse than described. One article said he'd made an unusually quick appearance - 15 minutes after his match. Perhaps he should have waited longer. Like you, and BB, I don't think he was serious about skipping grass.
This interview was more interesting than anything I've watched so far which I must admit is not a lot..LoL But the one thing that has come out of all of this is my regard for Fed/Nadal to have come back from their injuries to have achieved what they did in that time is just one of the great stories of tennis for the ages. Arguable one of the 5 or 6 greatest players to have ever played the game seems lost and to try and recapture what he had will be a mountain to climb. Murray I think will face the same hurdle let alone Stan.

Lol. He was sharp.
I would have said "rude." Two types of tennis players? Nadal doesn't know how to play tennis? You're drinking from the monkey head. :D

I remember this. This happened on live TV. I thought Rafa died on live TV for a moment. :lulz2:

p.s. Nadalites, no I don't wish him death, just a loss.
Of all the things that give you lot pleasure, it is beyond me that this would be one of them. If none of you has never had a painful muscle cramp, then I don't think you've played sports.

You animus against him never fails to amaze and amuse. But seriously...you never cramped? Reaching for the lever on the barcalounger, or for a sausage, from an odd angle?

Yes I have cramped, even while driving which was pretty scary. It sucks. And Wafa is still a drama queen :D

Of all the things that can be said about Nadal, I think the last of them is that he's a drama queen. He's the alpha male in most equations, and certainly on clay. I think he will be asserting his dominance in the next 3 days. This is what you're afraid of, and it makes you mean. :yesyes:

He's an alpha male on court though he is a petty bitch with all the gamesmanship and stalling. He is definitely a drama queen off the court, always whining about something with his self-serving comments.

And since when have I ever been mean? :dance3:

You spend so much effort looking for faults in Nadal. It's quite clear why.

There are an infinite number to choose from. I will appreciate him a lot more when he is gone foreva. Tennis will be great without him.

I know you've spent a lot of time on this trope and are invested, but do you really, really, believe that tennis will be better when Rafa is gone? You've made an effort at arguing for doping, but, let's face it, you've never won that argument. Really, you've just been pushing for Roger to win more Slams. It's the fedal wars for you. Rafa has been hugely popular, and, like Roger, a boon for the sport. Do you sincerely believe that tennis will be better when he retires? Be honest.

Being a die-hard Fed fan makes you producing very strange, even absurd opinions, that no one can take seriously. Read e.g. this article and watch the video within, to learn what your idol himself has recently said about Rafa, whilew collecting Laureus 2018:
https://www.express.co.uk/sport/ten...ael-Nadal-tribute-Laureus-World-Sports-Awards

and reconsider your statement.

If he is what I think he is, then yes. Also, like most other posts on this board I'm talking from my perspective. I know he has millions upon millions of fans that will be upset when he retires but for me? I will be a happy camper.

I was liking the video response, not the poster's signature.
Seriously, that's worse. :drums:
I understand where BB's tone comes from. Me too, sometimes, likes to take things lightly, with a bit of smile/joke, while serious fans are conducting fedal wars.
Andy Roddick has commented about this famous Nadal cramp video, that such things happen to all players all the time and there is nothing to talk about for both pro and anti-nadalities. I'm semi-pro athlete and do understand this. But regardless this reasonable insider explanation, the picture is really impressive and can incite deep feelings. But take Andy's and my word for it: this is completely normal after strong physical effort, just relax...
