It's not about one player being tough for dull, it's about navigating a tough draw with back to back or even 3 consecutive tough players that present matchup challenges to mowgli.

Giving him a bunch of S&Vers and clowns who won't even make the 2nd week of RG regardless of whether they play dull is not the way to go. Ofcourse dulltards know this but they won't acknowledge it.

I'm sure this cult will not stop at anything to call out Fed if Fed got PCB, Schwartzman on grass for example. I really hope Fed gets dull's draws on grass and we will be the ones to tell this cult that draws don't matter for the undisputed grass GOAT.

What time does the Men's SF start on Friday?
Since the RG website is such crap this whole time, no way of knowing. But I'm thinking not before 12n-2pm local time, and surely they have to put the top half 2nd, since they'll have to play significant parts of their matches tomorrow.

The scheduling is crazy. Halep and Garbage played today and therefore, you would expect that their match will be second tomorrow.
But, their match is first and the American girls who played yesterday go second.

Sometimes I really don't understand the choices by these tournaments. I still don't understand why the AO plays the men's SFs on different days, when it would be so easy to even it up, to that point.

The thing that you mention about AO is not a weird scheduling decision made after the tourney started. AO has the two SFs on separate days as they want it that way voluntarily. Their idea is that they distribute the prime events on multiple days (thus possibly adding more revenue), even though it is kind of unfair for the players.

No, I understand that's the way they schedule it. I'm just saying it's unfair. I was not distinguishing between choices made on the fly, and established scheduling decisions in my assessment that some of them are rather incomprehensible.

Well, what USO was doing (they no longer do it) was more unfair. They were doing the "Super Saturday" with two men's SF and women's finals. Then the men were asked to play right next day, the most important match of the tournament with no rest.

Believe me, that was in my mind when I was complaining. I've always said that was unfair, and I'm glad they've changed it. The USO has been one of the worst offenders with scheduling.

Djokovic presser after the loss.

The snappiest responses I've seen in any post-match. The worse/less cooperating PR attitude would only be to leave without saying anything or do not show at all. He's really upset about the loss like never has been.
I think he's just been joking about skipping grass season: when he settles he'll make his mind and admits that tennis is the best he can do, so no point to feel upset about it; he needs to apologise for his snappiness & back to practice and to the tour.

I was pretty shocked by his tone, as well. Though that was mentioned in several articles, even headlined, it was rather worse than described. One article said he'd made an unusually quick appearance - 15 minutes after his match. Perhaps he should have waited longer. Like you, and BB, I don't think he was serious about skipping grass.
