Now down a break in the 4th. If he doesn't pull his head out of arse this could be over in 15 minutes.
This is what i have been trying to tell you all about Nick and his inability to hold it together for a forthnight.

Mary Carillo's voice is making me want to commit gruesome suicide.
I could perhaps learn to ignore it, since there is another commentator beside her, but every time she tries to be funny... I swear I am in constant fear that we will be fried by cosmic gamma rays. Those jokes are that bad.
PM, there is the Dr. Kevorkian movie on NetFlix to assist in your mercy killing. ;-) .. I think that it may be one person who is very sensitive to my distain for Carillo.. so you are in the majority brotha.. and we are gaining numbers everyday

Carillo and Cliff Drysdale are both intolerable. They never say anything insightful. I was shocked when I first discovered they are ex players. How could they have been pros and know so little?

Why do you say that? They may be the most annoying tennis commentators, but lack of knowledge isn't their major fault! They talk too much; I'll give everyone that complaint, but they were only average players! They have had decades of doing this so our opinion obviously meant little!:suicide:

When I was a little kid. Uncle Cliffy and The fiery One Fred Stolle was my guys.. However when Pat McEnroe joined ESPN and Roger became the might Fed or their beloved da Rog.. my distain for him began.

PM, please don't do it, we need you around :help:
Her jokes are bad but others commentators are too dramatic :(

If I put $100 for Diego to beat Nole tomorrow and it happens, what do I get back? Any betting enthusiasts here? I know there was someone that always put up the odds but I forgot who...

I am far from an expert but, odds on Diego are 11, which means if Mr Schwartzman wins you would have a sweet 1200$ in your pocket.
It is an interesting idea, but someone like Diego will struggle too much during sets. His serve will be picked on too much for him to do anything.
By betting on Novak though, you would have 205$ dollars which is much safer, but where's the fun in that, eh? ;)
Let me know if you make the bet, I will be watching closely.

@britbox Khachanov was looking good last year but had a slow first few months this year, so those of us who follow NextGen closely saw a stall and worried he was maxing out. But he seems to be shaking it off, and should continue to advance. I see him as a future top 20 type, possibly top 10 but probably not top 5.

Are you telling me I double my money if I put it on Nole? Really? That seems like an easy bet, no? I mean, I never bet and I don't know how it all works but as much as the Diego odds make sense, the Nole part does not at all.

No, I'm a fool. I don't know how I got this wrong, I was thrown off by the disgusting amount of beer I drank. Let's do it again.
If Diego wins: (odds on him are 11)
- you get 1100$
If Croc wins: (odds on him are abour 1.05)
-you get a laughable 105$
Basically, if you have a hundred bucks to throw, have a good time with your friends or something, Diego isn't winning this.
However, if you make the bet, and Diego wins, you will make all the analysts look like they are in the wrong line of work. Upsets happen, but this one would be really special.
If you are looking for encouragement, they played once at the USO 2014, when Diego wasn't still fully formed as a player and No2e was in much better form, and while the scoreline does look pathetic (6-1 6-2 6-4) Diego played him very hard in the third set and that was on fast USO hardcourts. Again, let me know if you make the bet. We will both celebrate :D

Verdasco had to fight for the win, but he's still in. Good for him.

Del Potro vs Murray. Who wins? Is Del Potro fit? Should be a good match if he's fit.
That will be the big question for the next round. Del Potro had a tumble that was worrying today. Murray is still generally a question mark. I'd pick Delpo, if he doesn't have a groin issue.

Hard one to call, although I've not been overly impressed by Murray so far. I want Delpo to win, so will go with the big fella.

If you haven't seen this, it's worth watching. Both for the heartbreak and the sportsmanship. The much-maligned Mary Carillo said that she loves tennis above all the sports she commentates on, because the players have to show us so much who they are, for better or worse. This one is for the better.
