I personally would like to see Annacone go and have him get some new blood in there.

At this point he needs a motivational coach more than someone going over the X's and O's. I'd love to see him give Jimmy Connors a try but that is definitely not happening.

its just that simple.


also part of this decline is self imposed. but the end result has been some drop in his confidence level.

he is not willing to dig in, fight like hell, and grind a little bit.

translation: he is the architect of some of this decline.


robredo is not better than roger and yet he ran off with a straight sets win in flushing meadows.

one thing to note about that doubles activity which, as you know, you and I have both been advocating for quite sometime now:

winning in doubles will help refurbish his confidence to some extent for singles.

also there is a social aspect to doubles as well. he can try to have some fun in doubles. it will do him good.

Lendl would be excellent too but as for available coaches I say Connors. He was also an all time great who had good success at an old age and kept the fire burning. He also wouldn't take any crap from Roger.

Connors was technically washed up before he retired from the tour! He was just hanging on like a ghost with obviously no life to go to afterwards! So sad to see this grizzled old guy trying to hang with kids closing in on 40! Who did he think he was, Ken Rosewall? :laydownlaughing :snigger - He became so desperate to become relevant, he had to write that stupid book exposing personal stuff about Evert; and I never even cared for her! It was just low and very inconsiderate! What an idiot!

I think Roger will get at least one SF in 2014 in the majors.
