No tennis yet. They're going to try to squeeze in a few matches. But, although Rafa is the only guy left playing in 3 events, they've decided not to schedule any of his for today. Go figure....:negative:

Looks like Rafa will have to play the lot tomorrow.
I've read that Rafa will play tomorrow the same schedule than today, three matches and maybe they have to extend one more day because nobody have played today

I wonder if Rafa has to give up mixed-doubles. I hate to throw Garbiñe under the bus, and I doubt Rafa would, but something has to give, and I hope it's not Nadal's wrist.

AMAZING ALSO solme of the shots PUBALO CUEVAS comes up with -- what a wonderful player he is too! bellucci too - but it's NICE to see also a much lesser known player like CUEVAS bring his game and talent and have the chance to get the medals!

but looks like bellucci has this match more - unless cuevas raises his own game some more.

some NICE serving from bellucci !

i always wonder -- IS this bellucci -- although argentinian -- somehow RELATED to the FAMOUS ITALIAN BEAUTY -- ACTRESS MONICA BELLUCCI?

don't tell me nobody knows her? she's so beautiful and a FINE actress

people should see her portrayal in a very, very touching italian film

"MALENA" -- and other movies she made (recently in the latest JAMES BOND film - as the widow in the start of the film)...

I'd like to see On the Milky Road directed by Kusturica in which she acts in Serbian.

Nadal wins the first set in a tie-break...and 30 unforced errors. Yikes. Some pretty gross tennis by both and Nadal's new service position on the ad court is one of the stupidest things I've seen in a while. As if his serve wasn't one dimensional enough.

When they make a change usually it takes them a little time to use it, maybe that new service position can help him more later

Problem is he can't serve down the middle from that position so he's only going wide (and not getting enough depth) or to the body. It makes it pretty predictable. I'd love and hope to be proven wrong but I think it's a terrible idea.

We'll see but also I've notificated that he is waiting for his opponent serve not so far behind the baseline like he usually does

Winning ugly but still getting it done.

Rafa's guaranteed at least a silver in doubles.

Rafa will surely skip Cinci after all this?

It would be insane if he doesn't. I know his game isn't where it's at to win the US Open and he needs to sharpen it up so any extra tennis is good, but surely with him saying he wouldn't be playing now if it weren't the Olympics, it would be borderline stupid for him to go on and play in Cinci.

Rafa and Garbiñe have withdrawn from mixed doubles. Sensible. Muguruza probably had to let him off the hook, and that would have been generous of her.
