Mahut picked off Stan. I saw Stan serving up a break in the 3rd, then came back just in time to see him lose in a TB at 2. Mahut having a nice late-career run.

I watched it while doing other stuff. It was a high quality match with plenty of winners, spectators should be happy what they saw. Stan was dominant for the most of if, but he let it slip, even in 2nd set. I felt it will go to TB in 2nd and Stan will win there, but Mahut managed to turn it around completely, he is good to watch.

Mahut is a good grass court player, one of the few S&V specialists around.
Plus he got into good form, performing well at RG.

Yes, they did say that his 4 titles are all grass. And of course, Isner v. Mahut. But he also did well at RG...he's a likable guy and it's nice to see.

I like Mahut as a tennis player. But, I don't like his "celebrations" with his son.

Great win FAA. It is not easy to play against the uninterested one.

Are you sure this is an uninterested version of Nick. I don't think so. He did not even tank a set. First two went to TB and the last one was won by FAA with a score line of 7-5. While I did not watch the match, it looks like a hard fought match.

Definitely looks like Nick wanted to win. He switches on against certain opponents and looks like FAA fell in that category for him. Nice win for FAA, that kid is really something. It's a pitty they were showing the greek on a central court at the same time.

That is his name for me , in general. The level of uninterest will vary from match to match. Today was mildly uninterested :)

Bottom draw opened up nicely for Medvedev. All going well, he should reach the final.

So disappointing and concerning that DelPo needs more surgery. Just seems like he'll never be healthy enough to compete at his very best for very long ever again. A career completely ruined by his body. Could have won so much more if he'd been able to keep some momentum going. At the same time, his game style, with so much of it being just brute force, probably does much of the damage on his body. So it got him to the pros. Won him a slam. But he couldn't stay healthy with it. And that's the way it goes. Hopefully he'll keep fighting though. I mean, at this point, with all the men that play til 35, he should take heart that he can have the surgery. Heal up. And come back yet again. As often as he needs to for another couple years.
