The Court decision is "final": Joko must pay all parties legal fees & leave the country, yet Joko's lawyers are saying they are considering all option including "temporary injunction allowing him to stay & play AO". I frankly don't understand that. Probably it's just a groundless pep talk: lawyers pocket their money to always muddy the waters in favour of paying client, even if that requires alternative reality. Joko himself conceded his AO quest saying "thank you" to his supporters, and although disappointed, he will be "cooperating with the relevant authorities and leaving the country".

Novak's lawyers knew this outcome had no appeal? remember they pushed for 3 judges in the first place

It was Djokovic's lawyers that asked for it to be seen in front of 3 judges, making it an "all or nothing" final judgement, if I'm not wrong. (And I have been wrong a lot here. Ask @MargaretMcAleer.) I don't see what appeal there is, now. But that is what lawyers get paid for.

Tennis was the biggest winner here today....thanks to all the 3 judges!
Hey Margaret, another question. The players seeded below N.D. will they be promoted up the order now or is this too late to change? Or does the tournament just go ahead without a #1 seed ?

Come out Craig Tiley and face the music like a man....I hope they tear up your contract when the AO is finished this year
You enabled Novak to come here in the first place....
He deserves to be deported to South Africa and T.A. should appoint a born and bred Australian for a change.

I'll jump in and see if others do. It has been addressed. The draw stands. (Same as at USO when Murray withdrew after the draw was made in 2017.) Since the schedule for Monday was already made, a Lucky Loser (Salvatore Caruso) gets inserted in Novak's slot, but everything else remains the same.

Indeed, they lawyers wanted it and now they don't want... Joker hired bad lawyers. They have no integrity, or the level of integrity of uhmm... forgotten his name... 45th president of the United States.

The draw must be shuffled to fill in a missing player. I think 17th seed will be promoted to the place occupied by now missing #1, and the first lucky looser to #17

I guess this improves Nadal's chances of winning his second A.O. now. Mox and Margaret must be thrilled, AYE

I am also happy (not thrilled because I'm not Rafa's fan) Rafa deserves to get 21th slam and stay ahead of Joker. Medvedev stopped Joker in USO (molodets!) now Minister Alex did the same feat in AO (and possibly next 3 AOs), and even without playing tennis (!)

It is no shock to anyone that this improves Nadal's chances. It actively improves everyone's chances. But since you cite Margaret and me, particularly, I think I can speak for both of us to say that we have been active on these forums and on this question. With news and information. There has been a fairnesss question out there, legal questions, and if you think that we've been having all this conversation and debate just to booster Rafa's chances, I don't think you've been paying attention.

If Rafa was playing well, I’d agree, but he’s way off the pace. I think he’ll do well to get to the quarters. But for sure, as Moxie said, this improves everyone’s chances. But it’ll be interesting to see who handles the pressure. Medvedev is marginally the favourite now. And it’s one thing to enter these events with a chance, while somebody else has the big target on their back. But now Medvedev has a bigger target on his back, and not all players like that…
