Well that’s true, but I’d hope a tiny sliver of some principle still exists in him on this matter. But he’s showing megalomaniacal tendencies, all these petty rules, they’re not for him - he’s acted as if his lies wouldn’t be noticed, and if they were, he’d get a fistful of rich lawyers in to squash it. Bizarre, and tragic, really…
I think you feel that because, (and I could be wrong, forgive me,) you believe there IS an ethical stance here. I think El Dude has felt the same way. That if he were that opposed to the vaccine, he could have bowed out. Or, that now, or at some time in the future, he could still make it about his vaccine stance, and not about lawyers finding loopholes and how much he wants to play the AO. While I understand the point, I don't agree with it, but no matter. However, Djokovic has shown that, while he wants to live the way he wants, he'd not going to do it on principle. He hasn't said anything about his beliefs on vaccination for over a year. And it seems quite obvious that he will do anything to play in Melbourne, no matter how compromising. Given all the water under the bridge, and what it's going to take for him to play unvaccinated going forward, I think he'll be inclined to still keep it close to vest, and work the loopholes. But maybe I'm wrong, and this will clarify his fight. It's just that I doubt that. IMO, he'll stay behind a wall of lawyers.
