Hi Numbers,
They’re questions we’re all wondering about, but further to this, why did he take a test in the first place? Because he had symptoms? Or because he was a close contact of somebody who tested positive?
In either case, I would think that simple common sense would tell him not to go out in public after the test, until he’s gotten the negative result, or until he’s recovered from the virus. Basic reason being, he’s not exactly low profile, and he was obviously banking on this as his exemption. He was foolish, to be kind about it, and to be unkind, he was arrogant and not taking the test result seriously, either way.
He’s also got lousy advisers.
But also, I still wonder about this, that if the exemption date was the 10th December, had he resigned himself to not going to Australia when that date passed? Did he deliberately contract the disease to try the recovery option? And does he think he can bluster his way through the whole process and be allowed to play? His integrity has taken a huge knock, no matter what way we look at it. Unless of course, there’s further twists tomorrow that changes the narrative again. I can’t imagine a judge/arbiter tomorrow would be impressed or even care if Novak tried shift the blame onto TA. The responsibility to get the papers right is solely Novak’s…
